A while ago, I created a CT-like battle system (unfinished) for RPGMaker 2000 for a game I was going to make.  If you'd like the unfinished code, let me know.  I don't really plan on finishing it so you may be able to make something out of it.

I'm no good at codes, but I'll take it nonetheless. Thanks.

Okay, here it is.  Let me know if this links works for you:

I don't know if you'll need any of the custom CharSets I had to work it...if so you should be able to substitute in their place.

I find too many ppl creating RPGMaker games use the custom battles too much. They take up WAY to many variables and swiitches which could be used for other purposes.

WHAT?! No ones using my idea!

Whoops, sorry Azarath, I was talking about IcedEarthaholic's idea of making it a "Crono's Son is the hero!" thing.

Oh, lol. Hahaha....
Oh, and Chronocompressed, am I supposed to open the game? Because when I go to open it, it says 'Cannot find file EPOCH'.

I think you've gotta import the maps into your project...or something like that.  I haven't really given a RPGMaker project file for someone to work on it before.

I hope I don't have to send the entire folder as it's 17 MB...

WOW! Well, my computer is fairly new ( I've had it for a few months). If you have to, I'll ask. You probably won't, I'm going to import them now.

You know what would be interesting, instead of having Crono on a team, and then switch to his son 10 years later, it could be interesting to have both Crono AND his son in the same party. I think that would be interesting, and could lead to very nice character development between the two.

The only thing that bugs me is the fact that you are using RPG Maker 2000. I think it's battle system is

If you want a good battle system I suggest you either use RPG Maker 2003 or just make a CBS which many such as myself as good at making. If you want, I could make you a good one. But it's your choice.

Think of the double/triple tech possibilities  :) .

lol...Y'know, RPG Maker 2003 sounds like a good Idea. My cousin deleted my fucking game so I have to start it over, (I was half way throughg the frickin' thing!). I think I'll get that and restart.

damn cousins.....
Anywa, are you thinking about forming a team to help you with this? I'd be happy to help out in any way. Not that I'm good at much. I'm an OK artist I suppose. Also, since Crono married Marle, who's a princess, wouldn't that make Crono king by the time he gets to the proposed father-son thing. He'd be too bus with legal matters to save the world. Aww hell it's just a game go crazy.

Yeah, I probably should have a team...I'll start recruiting people. I need scripts and the likes. OK, kickacecrono0091, what would you like to help out with?

Script:
Maps:
Character Design:
Plot:

hmm... I've got some questions about the positions.

Script:
I'm not a very good writer, so that's out of the question.
Maps:
Is that like drawing map concept art, or making maps with RPGM?
Character Design:
For the most part, the characters are from CT, so they're already designed. So do you need new characters, or concept art for the CT characters?
Plot:
I suppose I could help with plot. I'm pretty imaginative. I'll wait till you answer the questions to decide though.

Thanks!
