Monsters in magus's Fort

How do they know what crono's mom looks like, and how would they know to say "where have you been, Ive been worried sick" or whatever it is they say, something like that. How do they know that Crono's been away from his house for a period of time?

They copy it out of Crono's memory. Mind you, we see that on the hallway to Flea's place.

yup i would say seeing as flea is some sort of mystic magician lady she takes images out of the crews minds, i would say it takes images that would affect the crew most/images the crew would be thinking about most.

crono worried about his mum seeing as he hasnt seen her in a while
frog sees queen leene whom he uses all his energy to protect since cyrus died
and marle i used sees her dad cos... shes worried about him/pissed off with him/a bit of both/hes her dad and her mums dead so who else has she got?

Personally I'm wondering more about the "You'll have to defeat all 100 of the monsters in this castle" thing.  I tried to count 'em all, but I think there were more than 100, and there were at least a couple dozen you could bypass.  Just seemed kinda lame, eh?

yeh i kinda wondered about that, i never counted, but you avoid a whole load of them, killing 100 monsters accomplishes nothing as far as im away, your just as well only killing 20. kinda disapointing.

One houndred is a nice round number. What would sound better "You'll have to deal with me, Slash, Flea and 100 monsters?" or "You'll have to defeat me, Slash, Flea and 127.74 monsters?"?

Besides, as if Ozzie can count.

erm.. wouldnt it just make more sense to say:

roar! your gonna have to get through all the monstrous fiends in this here castle before your gonna get to magus, so hah! your attempt will be futile. *evil smirk*

Well, being as Ozzie's chances of coming up with that are equal to my chances to power an entire big city with a bike, I'm not quiet sure if that would do. Ozzie isn't just a villain, he's a STUPID villain.

There are roughly 100 monsters discounting repeat encounters of the same monster in the same room and those roly-like monsters that just keep coming down the stairs...Counting those and well...you'd get unlimited monsters then, wouldn't you?

About the monsters knowing Crono's mom...It's entirely possible that the monsters don't even see the image they take on or say anything and that it's all just an illusion created depending on who's in your current party.

That actually sounds more feasible.  The mind of the person in question creates the illusion...  The spell around the monster is more like a looking glass to see that illusion in.  But anyway.

I actually think that Ozzie was more of a Drill Seargeant or a slave driver than a villian..

I doubt that, Ozzie was most likely in command before Janus came out. Janus came to power due to his insane magical abilities. Not the other way around.

The only reason I might disagree with this is because of what hapenned in Guardia Castle and the Cathedral.  If you recall, everyone saw the Chancellor as the Chancellor... also, when you walked into the "break room" in the cathedral, the monsters said something to the effect of "you guys can take off the disguise now".  Which means that the monsters saw each other as they presented their disguises.

Although, that still wouldn't explain Crono's mom and Lucca's father.
