Also, I've always thought that Doreen lies within the Pendant. It makes sense because whenever she's around, so is the Pendant.
Doreen appears when Serge defeats Dario althought Kid and the Pendant aren't present... unless the Pendant is actually the Astral Amulet, which is a point I'm really confused about (amulets, purple necklaces, blue/dreamstone/wood pendants... it's so confusing).
