Chrono Cross Single-Disk Project
« on: February 15, 2016, 03:23:08 am »
Herro.
I will be brief here.

Pros:
  • size — one 900 MB image is better than two, 700 MB each;
  • disk change — reduce player interaction with emulator; this is especially good for external overlay (which is under development) — player will be able just to double-click shortcut and nothing more after first configuration;
  • problems — I heard some emulation systems (Android or PSP ones) sometimes have troubles with disk changes;
  • modification — well, modify one image is easier than duplicate all the changes; it also will reduce needless complexity on documentation and stuff.

Cons:
Only one. Original PlayStation 1 will not be able to work with 700+ MB CD.

I don't know, maybe someone has thoughts about this particular thing, but probably none.

Chrono Cross single disk. There are errors on the iso, so we will call it a beta version.
Known problems:
*In the video where the Serge is flying to the  terra tower there is no sound
Changes:
*All data from disk2 added to disk1.
*fix Viper tech bug in Termina
*fix Dario battel logic
*fix Criosphinx battel logic
Download: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B2xNMW7TdGFfalNWeFRadnlLdFU
Please test it.

Thanks, I was looking to replay Chrono Cross sometime soon anyway. If I play it and find any issues, I'll let you know!

What's the text file though? Do I need it to play?

This is the file table. It will come in handy if someone wants to modify the disk.

Nice, I've wanted the table file for this game for a long time, also what did you change in their battle logic?

1. When Dario counterattack, his move points not reset
2 Criosphinx can't be killed with a yellow plate.

enemy editor can edit only enemy characteristics and doppelganger list. Battlescripts
I edited manually.
To work with sing iso in enemy editor, need change the address enemydata in list1.txt and remake patch
data\enemydata.bin=15ae25c9
data\enemydata.lzs=15ab4cd4
data\treasure.lzs=0x16a91c

Never mind it didn't work on my laptop, but worked just fine on my desktop. Going to try getting the enemy editor and Zero star ng+ to work.

Btw Itoikenza I just noticed today you posted a save for me, never got to try it but thanks anyway. (The link doesn't work anymore)

Hey, thank you soo much for making this. But there is a problem that keeps occuring. The game crashes everytime I talk to Belthasar in Terra Tower. Is there any way to fix this?  :cry:
