CT PSX extra songs -- not stored as SPCs, right?
« on: March 08, 2016, 02:26:17 am »
As I recall, the PSX CT does have a ROM in it, but the music is handled by PSF, and so the extra 4 songs aren't in place as SPCs. Just wanted to check.

So for curiosity:
The way PSX handles CT audio is somewhat similar to the Metronome Project?

While I don't have a handy copy of CT PSX, but I suspect that all of the songs are in a PSX format. The new songs would only be in that format.

The ROM is used for reference in some cases, but a lot of data is recreated elsewhere.

Thanks. Yeah, I just remembered https://www.chronocompendium.com/wiki/index.php/PSX_ROM_Notes existed (restoring everything right now).

Reading this article, i wonder if swapping the original JP ROM by the Retranslation ROM would work.
Nevermind. I thought the Retranslation was based on JP ROM. But i just read the Retranslation was based on US ROM instead.
