After many years of work, (and delays) I am releasing the Beta for Chrono Source. A Chrono Trigger Prequel.

Amazing game so far!

I love it and its very exciting to see Zeal pre rising and 1000 A.D when Crono and Lucca are kids. Also i'm so psyched about Athen! I can't tell if he's Crono's father or Uncle. It probably said and I missed it!

Anyway he's awesome and I love his techs. Also SUPER AMAZING to play Schala and I love that she fights with daggers like Kid <3 :D :D Also I'm really intrigued about her being a wind innate. I never thought about it but no one really has wind do they? Interestingggg!

 Love all the little connections to Cross in there! I liked the Dragonite people and love that there not quite reptite! And Ahh Yey Cyrus! We get to see his face! Great sprite! And Glenn as human WOO HOO! This is going to be fun!

Beta test activate:

 Bugs:

 Actually this might not be a bug but part of the beta testing process? While exploring Leene Square I talked to an old man which seems to have brought me to a cut scene at the end of the game.

Edit: Found a bug in 600 A.D. in one of the residents houses (left side by market in Truce) the house with the woman who has one son who claims having kids wears you out. if you go upstairs it leads to the upstairs of a house in 1000 A.D. (an old couple who are both tired) When you go back down the stairs its a different map than the one you entered and when you leave the house you end up in 1000 A.D.

Ditto for another house in truce. in 600 A.D. you enter and an old woman tells you dinner smells delicious. When you go upstairs its empty but when you go back down its a different house with an older couple where the retired gentleman is complaining about having to do housework and when you leave its 1000 A.D.

I'm thinking its a quick teleport fix. :)

Anyway, i'm still playing! Awesome game so far. Kick ass sprites and maps and fun game play. ^.^

I sure move fast for casual walking. Also, the nu in the Zedani main hub likes to moonwalk. Finally, the year is meant to be 12,005 BC if it's 5 years earlier. 11,995 BC would be 5 years after 12000 BC. BC = negative, AD = positive.

Played a bit more. Objectives can be a bit obscure at times, too much running back and forth between two places often, and I'm in 3 million BC after the dragonites take everyone and there's no path through the cave. I just either hit a dead end or a room with a chest in it. Additionally, some of the ground texture is very deceiving in this area. There appears to be a cliff in one part, but I'm able to walk over it.

Sorry I haven't checked back in a bit. Thanks for the reports! I will have to check some of the teleport fixes. I have already fixed the game end bug.

Schala is meant to be the only wind innate, as mentioned by one of the zealians.

I will have to check out what you mean about the caves. Have you made it through since? or are you still stuck?

Still stuck. It's an easy fix with RMXP, but I don't feel like installing it just to fix that.

Schala here's a better picture than the one I sent you last time.

The first 3 rooms the door is always to the right. the 2nd room door is tricky and might be the one your missing? The 4th room you go to the right up the stairs down and left.

I'm not seeing any glitches so far. If you could post a screenshot of where you believe you are getting stuck, I can take a look.

Also: I've fixed those teleport glitches.

Just an FYI in case you haven't stumbled upon it already. Hold the SHIFT button to run. ;)

Yeah that was a huge oversight on my part. Clearly just not paying attention. There are a few pieces of dialogue with that throughout the game. Will need to fix. Please post when you find them thanks :)

Would suggest you make these changes, assuming it's 5 years before CT:

Zeal - 12005 BC
Middle Ages - 585 AD (factoring in that Cyrus was killed 10 years before CT)
Prehistory seems okay
1999 seems okay
"Present" should be 990 if it's 10 years before CT, 995 if 5 years

Also, it seems 1999 is a dead end. I've explored everywhere except a door blocked by a scientist. Nothing seems to move the game forward after the initial arrival.

Not every time period is 5 years off. Each is it's own time period.

As for Cyrus, he did not die in this reality, as the majority of the events of CT have not occurred, as this game's world has not been saved. (ie Janus hasn't been sent to 600AD, turned into Magus, etc)

As for 1999, if you truly have gone EVERYWHERE you should be leaving, and returning to talk to someone...

Updated and fixed current known issues including a couple I ran into also (ie being able to stay at an Inn even if you are broke :P)
