belthesar's book in kajar
« on: July 30, 2005, 08:39:21 am »
i think it was in kajar, the one that says all like starts in nu and ends in nu.
i read that article you made about this, and you were saying how nu could be representable as water, then i read a line from CC (just got working) at the start someone fishing says something along the lines of:

all life started in the ocean and will end in it

that kinda co-incides with the nu topic, and i didnt see you notice it.

Aye, the Nu theory is a tough one to decipher, and I believe has been discussed before as well. No offence, but try not to create a thread that has been discussed before, I can see that ur fairly new here so i must tell you this now (me being a regular and all).

Hmmm, perhaps the relation between these two lines are for 'fun' purposes only. And, seeing as you've read the article as well, it doesnt seem strange to think of this fact: "All life beings and ends in the ocean". Plus, we dont know of Belthesar actually wrote that line or not, as there is not solid evidence apart from the fact that it is his room.

Also, is that the room where you fight some Nu?

It is a common belief for people who live by the sea. It is most likely a simple coincidence, since I have heard the term used before in regards to a fishing/sailing community.

Alright, I coulda sworn I had posted in this...but....w/e...

I don't recall the quote in CC stating that all life would end in the sea...What's the actual quote? Anybody?

Well, anyways, from what I had heard, the Nu quote is actually taken from Norse mythology in which nu is the primordial goo from which life sprang forth.

Hmm, Fort Dragonia, Serge's rebirth.

Anyway, I believe that Nus are sort of dream spirits.  This explains why you can find them in almost any time period... In Zeal you'll find loads of them, because of all the dream there. In the prehistoric era, in 600 BC, in 1000 AD, and the only Nu you can find is in Belthasar place... Guarding his machine, his gift for the one who will open the door, the one who might just beat Lavos.

He probably 'came from the sea' in that which all life came from the sea like how the thing in Fort Dragonia explains...

Agreed. Serge wasn's washed up on teh beach as far as I know. He had a father, Wazuki, and mother, Marge. And his father, Wazuki (who is also Lynx), looks very much like him in his human form. There's no doubt in my mind that those are his biological parents.

When Serge is very young (3 years old I believe) he's attacked by a panther demon. Wazuki and Miguel want to get him medicine or medical attention or something so they set sail for Marbule but Schala causes a storm and blows them to the Sea of Eden and then furthermore to Chronopolis. Serge is cured by the frozen flame, but the flame corrupts Wazuki and in time causes him to become Lynx. But Wazuki kills Serge in another world and in home world serge survives. I forget how he kills him though. I dunno if he drowns though. maybe Wazuki drowns him.

Serge's death in Another World is by drowning. This is said in many places throughout the game, including the time you meet Another World's Leena for the first time:

Quote from: Leena
That boy...
died......
He drowned...
when he was very young...
This all happened 10 years ago.

This is why Serge's grave says this:

Quote from: On Serge's grave someone
~~~  R.I.P.  ~~~
Our beloved Serge
~~ Died age 7 ~~
Nobody can take
anything away from him.
Nor can anyone give
anything to him.
What came from the sea,
has returned to the sea.
A fitting epitaph, methinks.
