How about an online Compendium play through and discussion?
« on: November 15, 2013, 10:40:50 am »
I think it would be fun to schedule some time to play the game while streaming it live with a group and discussing / reminiscing as well as seeking group input on actions and choices.  Perhaps do a chapter per night or something.  Any thoughts or suggestions?

How does the community commentary on these things typically work, Prisoner of Time? Is there a certain site that hosts this kind of thing?

Well, I know of some sites, like JustinTV, where one person streams while others can comment on it as if it were a chat room. Don't know about doing it with actual audio though, although I'd prefer the chat option.

Either way, this could be an interesting thing to do...

We could always do JustinTV with the chat option and also use something like teamspeak or ventrillo if people wish to talk rather than type.

I know there was a "fanfest" in 2010 that broadcast a play through of the game, which was great, but I think something that is a little more interactive, and follows one game rather than changing the games with different players would be really cool.

Here's an idea, how about we stream this once a week as a social night, if we can get enough people with a common free time?  I think chatting would be just fine.  I'm thinking something like a half hour or an hour.

Sounds fine to me. I can be readily available depending on the time.

How about Google+ hangouts?  That may work for us.

Sounds like a great idea! I think weekends would be best (at least for me). Maybe we could try tomorrow with either of those options and see where it gets us?

Wait, how exactly does this works? Does it needs a Google+ account...?

Anyway, if it's somewhere I can access, the weekend does sound fine depending on the time.

Perhaps it's time to dust off the ol' Nintendo DS and fire up Chrono Trigger again? It's been a while and I could use the nostalgia.

I'm the least likely person here to want to participate these days (simply don't have the time for much), and this sounds like a fun idea!

I take my hat off to you, Prisoner of Time!

I really admire the fan works and such but I don't have time to participate in that, or the experience.  I figured that this would be a cool idea to just jump in and share the Chrono Trigger experience with fellow fans.

This is just a suggestion but how about we kick this off in January after the holidays?  That is always a good time of year to game it up!
