General Discussion / Re: Your opinion on suicide
« on: June 07, 2006, 10:04:14 pm »
There are some circumstances where suicide is a rational desire: in the face of a debilitating terminal illness, for example.  However, once you are dead, you do not have the option to stop being dead, so suicide should not be treated lightly.  I'd say the use of suicide to escape from present troubles or past trauma is a bad move.

I'd like to remind everybody that there are certain things you are not allowed to post in the forums.

actually its real, the solders are  fake.

The soldiers crouching with the mortar were obviously edited in, because the perspective is starkly different from the top portion.  However, the soldiers standing by the store are really there.

Once again proving that the invention of the holodeck would be more ruinous to society than ten Lavoses...

The holodeck is the most infernal death-trap ever to come out of Starfleet RD and every starship should have a racquetball court installed instead.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Re: Janus and Lavos?

It seemed like Schala actually became some sort of dimension-hopping cosmic being at the end of Chrono Cross.  For all we know, she absorbed a significant portion of Lavos's power.  However, I think that Magus was more of a walking death machine than Schala ever could be.

That image is obviously fake, but are the guys in the upper part doing some sort of exercise?

Lucca is the Reed Richards of the Chrono Series.  If her talents seem unreasonable, keep in mind it is a fantasy.

Lynx was nothing more than an avatar of FATE.  We don't know whether Lynx had some sort of constant uplink, or operated on a set of instuctions, but it was basically FATE's body.  Miguel had his own mind; Wazuki lost his.

What some people fail to understand--and others deny--is that the disease of religion cannot simply be waited out.

Religious beliefs should be catagorized as mental illness.

What happens to the C?

It was replaced by an X, thus denoting the mysterious nature of the character so named.

Is this going to be a clone of Crono, Crono's doppelganger, or a possessed form of Crono?  If so, I don't see any reason for the evil Crono to have a different name (except for the name of whatever agency is possessing him).  I suppose you could make up a last name for Crono and have him refer to himself as Lord Whatever, or something along those lines.

Don't be so mean.

The Universe is far older than 15 billion years.

Current estimates of the age of the universe range from 10 to 20 billion years, so that figure seems reasonable.
