Also, if you've never checked them out before, Vol. 1 is still available and has more great tracks, including what I consider to be the all-time best rendition of Schala's Theme.

Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Mustin of OneUp Studios (and several mixes from OverClocked ReMix, VGMix and Project Majestic Mix) needs help in identifying a Chrono mix. Can anyone help? Click on the link below to go to the OUS forum and download the mix there.

General Discussion / Dear Friends concert in Fort Worth this Friday
« on: June 28, 2005, 07:22:10 pm »
Hey, all.

Is anyone on this board coming to the Dear Friends (Final Fantasy music) concert on Friday, July 1? If so, get in touch with me. I'm having a small party (right now, just a few people from OneUp Studios are coming) at my place about 20 minutes west of the concert hall. And I may be meeting some people near the concert hall beforehand, and would very much like to meet some of the supporters of this community.

Let me know!

General Discussion / The Facebook

Attention, college students!

Anyone here ever heard of The Facebook? Rather than explain it, I'll just direct you to http://www.thefacebook.com to see if your school has a branch of the site yet. If so, add me, I'm Jarod Daily at TCU!

If your school doesn't have a branch of the site, then I'm sorry. It's really hard for me to explain The Facebook, largely because, well, it doesn't have a point.

Site Updates / OneUp Studios to release Xenogears arranged album
« on: January 24, 2005, 07:42:44 pm »

OneUp Studios, the people who brought us "SQUAREDANCE," "Time & Space: A Tribute to Yasunori Mitsuda" and "The Very Best of SEGA," will release "Xenogears Light" on February 8, 2005. Xenogears Light is a CD with 74 minutes of piano-heavy, relaxing arrangements of tracks from Mitsuda's Xenogears soundtrack.

The album has a very limited print run of 1000 copies, and more than 400 copies are already gone. Any fans of Mitsuda's music should head over to http://www.oneupstudios.com/albums.php?show=6 to check out the demos and reserve a copy while they last.

General Discussion / Catching up
« on: January 03, 2004, 05:27:24 pm »
Gah...It really sucks not having Internet access for two weeks.  For those of you wondering, yes I still exist; sorry for my sudden absence and the lack of warning about it.  I would like to say that I've spent some of that time working on stuff for the site, but alas, college football and simply doing nothing have taken precedence.

Damn, I've got a lot of reading to catch up on around here...and I still don't have full access back yet (I'm in the library right now...I move back into the dorm on Wednesday...that will be nice).

Anyway, welcome to all our new members (I've seen a couple from OCR just in the last ten minutes I've been back), and a hello to all my friends around here (except Drumguy074...he sucks...and I've seen him plenty of times already).

General Discussion / Linking Project

Hmmm....we might try this one...

http://www.ffcompendium.com

In addition to the obvious name similarities, Final Fantasy Compendium seems to contain some very interesting intellectual material.  The only thing I've looked at so far is an extensive page on name origins.  Quite interesting stuff.
