ah I've always been meaning to play that one but never got around to it. I'll definitely play it when the revolution gets here and I can download it, and I love FF7, I don't what all that's about. :)

I'm glad you were able to get past the poor 3d models as well...when I played through the game, I stumbled upon somebody's description of them as "Final Fantasy lego people." It did NOT help at all, to be thinking of the characters as legos half the time >_>.

Yea the Popeye arms that Cloud sports don't really help that situation.

General Discussion / Should I play FF7?
« on: September 18, 2005, 03:19:04 am »
I had bad experiences with FF7 fanboys and I guess that's why I tend to say it's overrated and whatnot. FF7 just brought the RPG home to America who before never fully embraced it in a mainstream sense. Before all rpgs were popular only in a cult-like sense, a fanatical cult-like sense, and of course completely home in Japan. That's probably and no what am talking about, THAT IS why it had the impact it had, and created so many zealous fans. It made it cool for everyone. It brought it home because it came at the right time and was everything it needed to be and more.

I think looking back what hit me so hard was the music of the game, it quite simply is the best music I've heard in any game except for CT. It still gets in my head from time to time.

I also loved FF8, and still think it has the greatest intro I've seen out of any game ever.

I find it weird that FF6 is the only game in the series to have a girl as it's main character. It's also my favorite. :)

Hi everyone I'm a noob here and I decided to introduce myself.
Chrono Trigger is favorite game so I really dig this place, some of my other favorite games are Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Zelda: Link To The Past,
Final Fantasy 6, Crono Cross, Super Metroid, Super Mario All-Stars, Halo 1 and 2, Counter Strike, Secret of Mana, Ocarina of Time, Starcraft,
and Front Mission 3. I also really love music my favorite band is
The Mars Volta or At the Drive-In and I listen to lots of other things like The Blood Brothers, Pink Floyd, Sigur Ros, Bjork, Radiohead, The Sugarcubes, King Crimson, Bright Eyes and many others.. Anyone like any of that music?
I also  love The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Family Guy, Adult Swim, and Douglas Adams.

Anyways enough of that, it's time for the hazing and friendly ribbing to begin.. I understand. I'm new. I know how it goes...
Go ahead, have your way with me. Full fill your sick pleasures.

General Discussion / Nintendo Revolution controller: HOLY SH!T!!!!

Nintendo already has a add-on shell planned for it that you attach the remote to so you can play the classic games comfortably and it will still have the motion sensing abilites! This makes me wonder if there's any point in just using the remote by itself. Probably for some of the new games.
You can see right here. This is just a mock up though.

Also there is an extra attachment that they made for it that you hold in left hand to so say in a FPS you can move forward and left and back and you aim your gun with the remote just as well as a mouse can on the pc! Think of the possiblities!!
