Hm...I dont know how it compares to Time Egg... Someone who better understands the rules we have might be able to answer. It seems like the time egg sent them to a Frozen spot in time so maybe it doesn't apply?

CMG(2) don't come back after X amount of time. They come back before the atash kedah.

At that point is where the hole is. Under the rules of time/dimension travel we established that should have Time Bastard'd CMG(1).  But we clearly show both CMG(1) and CMG(2).

It's a goof, a minor one though.  It could have been fixed by reordering the teleportation to ReptiteLand, or even by just now showing CMG(1) in the video and letting the user just assume that they got Time Bastard'd

It's about 7:06 in this video

Well the whole point of TB is conservation of mass and such. We show two CMG's at the same time.    That's why I wish we would have just teleported CMG to reptiteland => CMG(2) come in (thus Time bastarding) CMG (1)  => Sorin kills dragon tooth.

Time bastard is an almost obsessively researched theory:

http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Principles_of_Time_and_Dimensional_Travel.html (just search for time bastard it's pretty far down there)

I have no qualms with blaming it on that. The delay is kind of weird though. I guess if I could go back I would have CMG be transported to reptiteland FIRST, then CMG (2) be brought back to the atash kedah after CMG (1) were sent away but before the dragon tooth got sent away.  This would time bastard CMG (1) and I guess fix everything......I think haha.

Like I said in another thread I think it's pretty much impossible to make a time travel game w/o holes.  But I guess this is a pretty major one that could have been pretty easily fixed.

Delayed Time Bastard I guess haha.

While the plot originally said "destroyed" the dragon tooth I don't think we ever say it in game. I just always thought he protected it from the frozen flame...sort of sacrificed himself.

I tend to agree with whoever Vehek mentioned above saying that if we gave 600 AD King Guardia TTI it would have taken away from the affect we were going for with Glenn coming back and being completely alone...personally I feel like that part of the ending was just sort of to let the player say goodbye to everyone. It's still canon but I dont feel that bad if there's plot holes in CE because of it. Any game with time travel is going to have plot holes I'd rather it be from a minor event at the very end of the previous game than something major :)

Mik- The two Xamoltan from CMG's chapter are a bit more friendly than the one we saw here.....or atleast that's how I see them. The idea of having the "bizarro time travellers" was around for awhile but C99 sort of spear headed their personalities.  In CMG's chapter we had the two nice ones that were going to befriend the party. Then our heroes decided to you know.....go destroy the entire timeline were the reptites were from.

But he (She?) too just turned on them and said, "Ok screw you, I'm just gonna kill you now."

I'm not sure where that's coming from though? CMG's emerald dream the Xamoltan were pretty passive until CMG got to the top of the tower.   If you check here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcGKIH82Aag at about 1 minute 5 seconds here you can see that they were certainly not the bad guys. Crono was more of a bad guy....but that's expected since he just saw his wife's remains in a cell...

Yea Darkken is .....is just amazing.

Vehek - Yea I'm guessing it's the time eggs too.  We got Lucca's prototype, returning to Zeal, and now the Dragon Tooth (so far). I never really minded the "sensing time distortions". I feel like if Chronopolis can make the Time Catcher then it must have some sort of technology for that sort of thing.

Mikisho the Xamoltan are not done at all.  That was only one of them :) Remember they all have TTI.  Were you talking about the meeting with Crono/Marle? I guess we could have made it a little more sappy. Especially since....you know crono thought he lost her.

I'll start things off with asking Chrono'99 to expand on one of his comments near the beginning (about the dragon tooth).

In my opinion this is the weakest chapter of the game, you guys can let me know.  There is a plus though, if you didn't think the NPC Agent 12 was awesome before....

About techs:

Main reason I wanted to do techs was to take a quick break from CE (at this time .....it was kind of just me in there and I was going a little crazy).  I spent a few weeks on Tech editing and got a good editor and was hoping other people would take it up. It'd just be too time consuming and I didn't want to stay away from CE too long. So I made the editor and a decently detailed walkthrough on how to make a new tech and pretty much begged people to use it. I even toyed with an idea of having a contest to get your tech in CE. Unfortunately it never really took off....

So I settled for  a few upgrads to techs. I always love status effects but most games never really make them useful, I know that I had never ever used Lucca's "Protect" spell.  I thought by making them target all and of course Magus' wonderful omni shield then people would finally use status affect spells. For a long long time that was all CE had

Then seriously out of the blue FW found some strange internal motivation to do techs and voila, you got the wonderful techs that you see in the video.

Yea I always thought of it as pressing rewind to the last gate exit, and restarting from there but on the new timeline.

haha oh yea.....I just made a total CT newb mistake :).

Ice 2 is definitely the way to go but Ice 2 is a pretty late tech and CE did a bad job of giving you plenty of TP at the beginning of the game.
