Captain B, I think you're right. :) I didn't think I would have forgotten something like that. Thanks for clearing it up for me. :D

Thanks! :D I didn't know whither I could trust the sites info or not, seeing as how a lot of sites just put rumors out without doing any research. I'm not too for sure if it's true either, but it bothered me a bit so I thought I'd ask the Compendium. I think it would be a bit weird if she was, but it is a video game, so certain things don't always apply.

Um, I was looking on the TV Tropes site about Chrono Trigger, and it claims at one point that the game hints that Ayla was pregnant during the ENTIRE game. I don't remember seeing this in the game script and was wondering if anyone could clear this up for me. Any help would be appreciated. :D

How could I have not remembered that? Anyway, Mr. Bekkler, you're right about the fact that they would have probably just kept making more PCs. Lord, can you imagine if it had been 80-100 characters instead(with the same three member team setup :picardno)? It makes me realize that if a game like Xenogears had had more time, it would have probably ended up much like Neon Genesis Evangelion(hey, we all know it was going in that direction) . If I remember correctly, didn't Kato also work on that show? And wasn't there some kind of scandal involving some of the staff stealing money from it? Anywho, thank you for pointing out that for me. :)

No worries! :D And even though Cross is my favorite, I totally agree with you about Serge! It would have made the game far better, and more interesting. I keep drawing comparisons between Cross and Xenogears because of the fact that both games second discs just feel so rushed. :( Sadly, I don't think I could trust Square-Enix to do a really good sequel to the Chrono games. They seem to want to make RPGs that are all about big fancy graphics and not about really good gameplay or story. By the way, I really like the way the Compendium is so nice to newcomers, and not judgemental like alot of sites on 'net. :D (WHOOPS! Forgot to mention that both Cross and Xenogears were being developed at the same time as FFIX and FFVIII respectfully. I can't help but think that Square should have left them alone, but oh well )

Hi! I have been wondering if anyone's ever thought about what the Chrono games could have been if they had been given more time and money. Take Chrono Trigger, what if they had been able to include Singing Mountain or the expanded Sealed Pyramid? What if Chrono Cross's second disc hadn't been rushed, and had been three or even four discs instead?(Of course, all the loophples filled in as well! :D) I really think these games would have been even greater then they are now. But I can't help but draw comparisons between Cross and Xenogears in the way Square handled their development. Sorry if this has been discussed somewhere else, but it's been bugging me for SOOO long! :)

Well, I don't usually comment but... I really like both games but if I had to choose, I'd go with Cross hands down. Oh, and the reason Cross feels incomplete is because Square did the same thing to Xenogears. They pulled staff from that game so they could finish FFVIII. You can tell just by looking at both games that if the staff had been given the time and money to truly complete them, then they most likely would be a hundred times better than they are now. Sadly, what a lot of people don't seem to realize is that even before the merger, Square really only cared about Final Fantasy. At least to me, nothings really changed. :(

I'm wondering, what was the Dreamstone that Ayla gave Crono? Didn't Melchior say it was a piece of Lavos? Also, wasn't it mentioned in Zeal that the Dreamstone was a part of Lavos?

Lord J Esq., I really think you have hit the nail on the proverbial head. I really don't like the fact that some people have to try and shoehorn their beliefs onto some one Else's work. Just take a look at The Lord Of The Rings, so many people try to make it into what THEY want it to say, rather than letting it have its own voice. And yeah, I'm christian, but I don't agree with most followers views about the world. We seem to have a hard enough time defending the games just on quality alone, do we have to ruin it for those who may be interested in this series?

Chrono News / Re: Chrono Cross out on PSN
« on: January 09, 2012, 09:37:02 pm »
I just bought this and Chrono Trigger on PSN a little while ago! These have got to be the two BEST games ever made! I was on youtube and came across some CC reviews that blasted the game just because it wasn't CT. I agree with most fans that CC is an amazing game and should not be attacked just because it wasn't what you expected. Final Fantasy 8 and 9 are good examples that get the same treatment just because they were not FF7. You need to look at the games on their own merits, NOT on the merits of the game(s) that came before it. Well, sorry for the ranting, but I just wanted to say that.
