I would ask if I could have a hug.

Then I'd ask if I could have another chrono game.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they do. A lot of really good games have been made with them. There's a definite learning curve, but once you get the hang of it it's just like anything else.

First thing you want to do is pick out the engine. I tried to work with it once and I got a bit stumped.

There are some naturally English versions of the game, but I'm pretty sure that they're harder to get and have less in terms of resources available.

Pros of 2000
+The engine has a sort of... what is it, Dragon Quest? That sort of battle set up. That means you don't actually SEE the player characters in battle, so you only need a spriteset for wandering around and cutscenes and the like.
+The engine is generally simpler to use, I've found.
Cons of 2000
-The engine itself was translated from Japanese to Russian to English. Naturally, some things are NOT going to look nice. You'll even find with the included stuff is a demo game that has you choose Russian or English (and the English is just awful)
-Because it's a simpler engine, you'll have less customizability.

Pros of 2003
+The translation is MUCH BETTER. Like for serious, the difference is AMAZING.
+Pretty sure you can add many more characters.
+The engine is more fleshed out, so it's got more to tweak and the like.
Cons of 2003
-The engine is more complicated and has a lot more you'll be working with.
-The battle system is Final Fantasy styled, so along with walking and stuff like that, you'll need a battleset. These can by really intricate sprites or even just rehashes of the walking sprites (ala FF6)

Both are REALLY good choices, and I'm more familiar with the two of them than I am with the latest stuff. What I'd suggest in terms of sprites is looking up the charas generator and getting just a blank body, then drawing the clothes and such onto the characters. That way you don't try to draw a character from scratch and end up with something that doesn't fit into the frames.

I honestly have no clue how to set up Blender on my computer (because I'm not that smart in that regard), but anything is a start. Might I ask, what are you trying to do with all of them?

Honestly, I've found that every character has their strong points, and can be used to play up anything.

Crono is pretty great all around. I mean, he'd better be. You're stuck with him for almost all of the game.
Marle is an effective healer, and she has Haste, which makes me happy. I hate being pokey.
Lucca has fire elemental attacks, as well as some neat weaponry and protect. She makes up for being a bit pokey by being LUCCA THE GREAT.
Frog has some great physical stuff, and combined with Marle can do some epic healing. Plus, he's a talking frog with a sword.
Ayla can steal stuff (always great, especially when seeking the Wolflobe Sword) and beats the shit out of everything.
Robo is a robot. What more can I say?
Magus has shell (or the equivelent thereof) and has some naaaasty magic attacks.

Any combination of the three of those can fit any play style or preference. I'm partial to Magus-Marle-Lucca because Magus is a pimp and I looooove my buffs. Can anyone say Haste+Shell+Protect? Is nice set up.

Ugh... just got back from puking my brains out. We had steak for dinner, and for one reason or another it didn't sit well.

Shee, you should do what one of my neighbors did. They took the fish out of the water and tried to teach it to be a good fish. She would say 'Fishie in the water, fishie out of the water! If you stay a bad fish, you'll stay out of the water!'

... then again that neighbor was insane.

... and got locked up in an insane place.

... on second thought don't do that.

Shee? I'm not him! Haha.

Glad I wasn't the only who caught that.  Initial reaction was "But...I have no fish..."

Best of luck with ze feesh.
I... forget... sometimes... I'm sorry.

On a different note! I fear that I have a bugbite... in my ear.

People will say that one death is a tragedy, and a hundred deaths is a statistic. This is sickeningly true, and it frustrates me.

Update on the situation with my aunt: they did the surgery and removed the cancer from her breast. It's looking like they got all of it, but we'll have to wait for the pathology report.

On a side note, the advances in medical type stuff is amazing. My mom and dad were flabbergasted that my aunt had this surgery on Tuesday and was able to come home on Wednesday. Not like the week after, but just the DAY after. There was a time when a surgery like that would leave you in the hospital for a week if you were really lucky.

Earlier, I talked about how I loved my local pizza joint and how it's better than other big places, right?

My aunt lives in one of those middle-of-nowhere towns. Mom and I went out to visit, so we're looking around town, for something to do. We eventually find a nice little diner, and we sit in for breakfast. It's not anything fancy. Omlettes, coffee, homefries, all that sort of stuff. They actually had to close early because they ran out of eggs. It was the best breakfast I had had in a long, LONG time.

Local places: WIN.

Look. It's a thread zombie.

So for some reason I get these... weird spam messages on my AIM, right? It's basically some annoying thing saying that she's super bored, and she's gonna go do sexy things now. And I gotta go to this site if I want to watch, and they gotta have my credit card number so that they know I'm 18+. No matter WHAT I say to it, it's always the same spiel. And it's always a different one, too.

That's just some background information.

Last night, I dreamt I was working at some big store, like a wholesale store or something. Certainly looked like the one we have here. Anyway, somehow I ran into the lady who MAKES these spambots, and is in all actuality a real life whorehookerladything. And she was like 'Ooh I have boobies' and meanwhile I'm trying to make any sense of this and keep my job, so I'm like 'LADY. LADY LOOK. IM GAY. I LIKE MAN PARTS. GET YOUR BOSOMS OUT OF MY FACE.' With a huff, I went back to my desk to find that the class president had stolen my purse. Or at least she had a purse that I thought was mine. And then the lady followed me and was like... barely contained, you know? And then the world kind of looked like one of my drawings. All the lines were super scratchy and the colors all bright and freaky.

And then I woke up.

I think dreams have some sort of... meaning to them, you know? There must be a reason why I very loudly proclaimed to the store (which was somehow full of my classmates) that I was gay. There must be a reason why I thought that the very ridiculously pink purse the class president had was mine. I kind of don't want to think about it right now, though. I want some food.

I just got hit with a huge wave of SPRINGTIME OF YOUTH.

I'm willing to help in any way I can, Z! Whether it's my crappy drawing, some plot ideas, anything, I want to help!
