[quote\Religion has been a nasty vampire squid choking our government institutions for much too long, so let’s put a stop to that and purify our government institutions of this creepy religious infestation.

As President I wouldn’t meet with the Pope or pay him any special respects; I don’t think he deserves to be treated any differently than any other cult leader. If he wants to visit the USA, he’s free to do so on his own dime.

I’d point out that Islamic law is immature and self-destructive as well, and I’d openly admit that yes, it would be in the best interests of the USA and the world at large to see that kind of nonsense abolished from government and political institutions.

I believe in people’s individual rights to choose their own spiritual beliefs and to practice those beliefs communally if they so desire. However, our planet is becoming much too integrated and multi-cultural for us to allow goofy and childish religious ideology to infect our government institutions without serious negative consequences such as endless war.

You should be free to adopt whatever spiritual beliefs you desire. Worship whomever you like. Live by the values that resonate with you. Drink the wine, chew the wafer, light the Menorah, and bow in deference to your heart’s content. But don’t expect your government to financially support your personal practices… or to make public decisions based on your superstitions and stories.

Let’s end unfair subsidies to religious institutions. As President I’d work to kill the non-profit classification for religious institutions, meaning that all churches would need to start paying their fair share of taxes. Donating to a church in exchange for services is a financial transaction like any other. Such donations should not be tax-deductible. They should be counted and taxed as income for the recipient just like any other business transaction.

Some of these institutions would be eligible to reapply for non-profit status as educational or charitable institutions if they refactor themselves to perform more socially constructive work, but our government should deny non-profit status to organizations that are inherently bigoted in their beliefs and practices. It’s completely unfair to spend taxpayer dollars on such wasteful nonsense, such as groups that classify people into saved vs. unsaved categories. We can do better.

Otherwise we’re going to see more loony and socially destructive institutions like the Church of Scientology arising in the decades ahead as more people figure out that starting a fake religion is a legally valid path to wealth. We really shouldn’t be encouraging more people to follow the tax-dodging model the Catholic Church has been using with such great success. It’s time to pull the plug on such blatant abuse.

Again, I have no problem at all with people choosing and following their own spiritual path, both individually and communally. If that’s your thing, go do that. But our government — and by extension, we the taxpayers — should not be footing the bill for these pursuits.

Let’s require that religious institutions pay their fair share of taxes just like any other business. Then let’s use that money to get our country out of debt and to upgrade our other government systems, especially our secular educational institutions.

As Jesus supposedly said, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s,” which means, “Pay your taxes.”

Surely God can handle the IRS.

Additionally, I’d like to require all factory farms to host active 24/7 webcams of their operations, so people can see what’s really going on inside. People deserve to see what they’re actually consuming. More truth will inform better decisions.[/quote]

Retweet dis if u agree, Tahahahahaha

Hello! Four days ago I got the urge to replay Chrono Cross, but this time I wanted to make it a bit different. For many years now I've wanted to do a playthrough to get the theorized lowest amount of characters - sixteen - for the purposes of documentation.

Yesterday I decided I wanted to present my findings to the Chrono Compendium, since it wasn't that well-received on GameFAQs. I hope you enjoy my findings.

First of all, this is the final list of characters I had as I was standing outside Home World's Opassa Beach for the last time.

In order of recruitment...

Serge
Guile (Of course you can pick Nikki or Pierre)
Sprigg
Radius
Norris
Karsh (Zoah is still option here as well)
Orcha
Grobyc
Riddel
Viper
Fargo
Marcy
Zoah (Or Karsh if you picked Zoah)
Leah
Steena
Starky

My guest characters were Orlha, Kid, Korcha, Lynx, and Harle.

The bulk of the characters join Lynx.

I've found if you choose to leave Kid in Guldove, Glenn is suddenly required to join your team. My guess as to why they did this is because of the three-person puzzle in the yellow room at Fort Dragonia. Since Korcha joins to help Serge and the manor guide get the hydra humour but later leaves (And can be declined at his next recruitment opportunity), you must take the path of saving Kid if you want the standard sixteen.

When I was done with the first 1/3 of the game, I came to the conclusion you only need Serge, Kid, and the manor guide for it.

I accepted Irenes' request to find someone who could talk to Home World's Fargo, but declined to recruit her. Later, when I brought Another World's Fargo to talk to his counterpart, things went exactly as they were supposed to.

What this means is that you do not need to recruit Irenes at all to begin the "saving Marbule" side quest. Whoever began spreading the information that she is necessary was completely, utterly, and simply incorrect.

Starky is required to open his spaceship to get the anti-gravity device so you can go to Terra Tower. No way around it.

After going back in time and saving Kid, as we know, Radius tells us Luccia wants to see her; however, I've found you don't need Luccia on your team for this to happen. But after this event, the mad scientist cannot be recruited at all.

Lastly, no, Kid is not required for the last 2/3 of the game. She can just lay and rot in her coma forever if you so wish. In fact, if you ignore her at Another World's Cape Howl, she doesn't need to join at all.

Greco and Neofio can both join Lynx, but Luccia cannot. I also believe if you get the shark tooth as Serge and take it to Mojo as Lynx, that lovable straw doll can join him as well. Miki can join anytime after the concert, and it appears there is no cutoff time for her. But I've found there is one for Sneff... which, coincidentally, appears to be after concert. Irenes disappears after the concert for some reason, never to be seen again. Also, FlagBearer cannot be gotten while you're Lynx. Furthermore, there are cutoff times for Mojo and Home World's Poshul. I don't know when exactly it is, but when I tried to go recruit her when I was done with this challenege, she told me she "can't play" at the moment. The fisherman who gives you the shark tooth simply has his dialogue changed and no longer offers the item to you.

Since Zappa doesn't join, you don't get the smith spirit or the prism equipment. However, the denadorite stuff works just as well, or so it seems.

Lastly, I've found a few funny translation quirks regarding the Darkness Beyond Time. It's called different things depending on who you talk to.

Miguel calls it the "darkness beyond dimensions," Lucca calls it the "darkness that exists on the other side of time," and the Gate and accompanying teammates' dialogue calls it the "darkness of time." Marle gets it right, though. Oh, and strangely, in her final speech Lucca talks at a few points like Kid is there, even though she's not.

Thank you for reading, and I hope I've helped the community somehow. I apologize if this is all old news, however. :D Have a lovely day!
Trill :grimm

If I do a good job I'm hoping to in turn make a few bucks off of it -- It is very hard to get employed where I live and even harder since I'm handicapped, so I hope it's understandable.

It's not every day a jolly toad breaks into your home, waters your plants, rakes the lawn, makes you coffee and does the laundry. You usually have to hire illegal immigrants for that stuff.

Dream Splash III - Chrono Break [2010] / Re: If Schala were a dude
« on: May 06, 2011, 12:49:11 am »
Anyhow, yes, and I know I've said this before but, dude, Kid. Fanservicey character design aside, Kid's all fire and Yang.

(I know it's cheating, but I voted in the second category, because well, someone has to and it might as well be me. Would it be gay if I like Schala as a chick, being a chick, and then liked her as a dude? That sounds like a big convoluted circle of gay.)
Chicks dont gotta worry bout bein gay....LoL

And word i thought about Kid n all but didnt wanna bring her up cuz thats a big Chrono Cross spoiler. Now dat i think about it....Harle seems to have a big Yin Yang thang goin on wit her design...The Dark Moon Dragon...

Aight i bet some of yall saw this thread from the board list and thought "Damn Wiz says funky shit sometimes. That cat must be smokin nugs laced wit PCP n crack n shit" But hear me out for a second. I think dat Shcala has a lot of Yang aspects to her character in the games. Takin all that crap from her mom, the mammon machine, her bitchass stepbrother, and rapists like Dalton or the Nus in Enhasa and Kajar. It takes a lot of courage and determination. I mean you look at Chrono or Surge and they got some heroics under they belts, like standing up to Lavos, or living as a furry for a week. I dont think most playas could handle that shit goin down in they lives (I could though because I AM The Springtime of Mothafuccin Youth personified)

Anyway i gotta wrap this up cuz im runnin outta time, imagine if in Chrono Break, one of the characters was a son-clone of  PrincesscHala or maybe Dalton could have daughter-clones haha haa shit would get CRAZY
