Just a thing on Schala....
CC kind of proves that Marle is not her decendant. If it was so, Marle would atleast have blue hair.

Also, It's more widly thought that The Laburians are the ancestors of the Zealian royal family.

This is not evidence, since Schala may be blonde. But even if her hair is blue, it doesn't mean anything. Your hair color is definitely not the same as the hair color of all of your ancestors.

And the prehistoric village is Laruba, so the villagers are called... Larubians(?).

About Nadia's Bloodline

---

About Nu

About the Entity

---

The cat theme is interesting, but if you have played Chrono Cross, you'll see it is far more obvious there. :P I always thought that when the Nu in 600 calls you 'dog', it uses it to insult you. I don't know...

---

The 'RX-XR' thingy is interesting, too, but I suspect this is about translation, not original script. We must wait for the Chrono Trigger Retranslation to complete in order to see if there is any similarity in the names.

---

I think Crono has a nickname in the Japanese version. Robo also has the nickname Prometheus. Ayla and Lucca don't seem to have nicknames

You might fight this topic interesting, as well.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / if chrono break ever existed...
« on: February 11, 2006, 05:50:07 pm »
You have completely missed my point. See it this way. In Sonic The Hedgehog, you cross an island and trigger Dr Robotnik's defeat by breaking the glass he is protected by, in the last battle. It's not called Sonic Trigger, Sonic Cross or Sonic Break. You trigger, cross and break things in every game.

You'll see, if Chrono Break ever exists, the most relevant event I can think of is breaking the Epoch for some reason. :D

Seriously, I prefer seeing this subject with realism: Masato Kato has nothing to do with the name 'Chrono Break'. That's is SE-side.

Best bevelopment of the same character

Radical Dreamers Lynx VS Chrono Cross Lynx

Alternatively:
Radical Dreamers Kid VS Chrono Cross Kid
Radical Dreamers Serge VS Chrono Cross Serge
or
Radical Dreamers Characters VS Their Chrono Cross Versions

I suggest putting only the first, though.

We didn't see a trigger in Chrono Trigger. We didn't see a cross (or didn't 'cross' anything) in Chrono Cross. We won't need to break anything in Chrono Break. It'll be just another object named in a crazy way, just to explain the title.

You gotta be kidding. We triggered the world restoration in CT by preventing its destruction, and in CC we crossed dimensions. That was even the commercial tagline for CC:
"1995, we crossed time, 2000, we'll cross dimensions".

You gotta be kidding. In every game you triggerand cross things. The "Chrono Trigger" and the "Chrono Cross" were just objects. Did the egg look like a trigger? Did the element look like a cross? No... Cmon, Square-Enix didn't ask Masato Kato about the title, they just bought it.

Take your pick on which meaning of break/brake you want.

No, the name "Chrono Break" has nothing to do with the storyline.

In the same way, the titles "Chrono Trigger" and "Chrono Cross" had nothing to do with the games, except that an object in each game was named after them.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Anybody actually defeat your party...

I beat them pretty easy on my first new game +. I don't really remember what I did, but it wasn't too hard. Hmmm you know now that I think of it shouldn't they be stronger as well since it is a new game +?

Yeah, that's strange. I've never tried to defeat them, knowing that no matter how strong Lynx was (through NG+), the party would be sooo stronger.

Crono would win. Even physically, he's better. He rules.  :D

What's the difference between these two? And... What is the value needed to prevent pausing the game?

I'm not sure whether somebody has already mentioned it. To find out what time period you are in (if you are in a place accessible from every time period, like the Black Omen), you can use this code.
Use : Time
7F01A8 & 02 : 12000 BC
7F01A8 & 04 : 600 AD
7F01A8 & 08 : 1000 AD
* Must look for the values of the rest time periods *

Of course I'd like to see a MMORPG in the Chrono world (bigger than CT's earth, though).

If the Chrono MMORPG followed the steps of Guild Wars, it could have a story (since GW does, thanks to its instance system which makes everything look like it's caused by you) AND changes in the present, caused by the past (anybody seen the GW real-time updates?).

So, yes, it IS possible. And it would be great. You hear me? Great! It would destroy the Chrono world as we know it, but I guess that other Chrono games won't care about what happens in the MMORPG for their story. So, I want one, although I'd prefer a sequel.

Oh, I hadn't noticed that function, sorry. Obviously, this is the first time I'm using it, so I may have made a mistake. Anyway, it's here.

If I've made any mistakes with the .flux file, please use the IPS patch in my previous post to turn the ROM into what I have.
