Chrono Trigger Modification / Return Isn't Saved Correctly - Why?
« on: January 21, 2006, 07:44:58 am »
I have added an NPC in Millenial Fair. When he is activated, he shows a decision box.

I write and save this:

But when I reload, I see this:

In case you don't see any difference, the Return command changes its level. Instead of going to Activate, it goes to If. Why??

This is what I have in mind, but all these articles and theories have confused me...

In 1000 A.D. Crono & co began travelling in time. They went to 600 A.D... Then, back to 1000 A.D. and then to 2300 A.D. However, a few years after 1000 A.D. the world split into Home World and Another World. Since Another World is the default, the events of Chrono Trigger after 1000 A.D. happened in Another World.

Does this mean that all Serge caused is Crono & co saving Another World and leaving Home World be destroyed by Lavos?

If yes, there are really many changes that could cause a timeline to split. Why was this particular event the cause of this Great Split?[/i]

History, Locations, and Artifacts / Who does Arris Dome belong to?
« on: October 28, 2005, 05:48:33 am »
According to the Dead Sea / Sea of Eden FAQ Refutation article, Arris Dome belongs to Guardia and if Porre rises, then Guardia will fall, Arris Dome won't exist and so Crono & co will never find out about Lavos, so it will live to destroy the planet. This will in few words lead to the creation of the Dead Sea in the Home World. This means, that the Home World Lavos still exists, Crono & co did nothing. In Another World, Crono & co defeated Lavos. In short...

Home World:
 Porre rises
Guardia falls
 Arris Dome isn't built
Crono & co don't know about Lavos
 Lavos destroys the planet
Dead Sea becomes a timeline graveyard

Another World:
 Porre doesn't rise
Guardia still exists
 Arris Dome is built
Crono & co find out about Lavos
 Lavos is defeated
The Sea of Eden remains what it is

Now, I may be wrong, but there is not reason to believe that Arris Dome was belongs to Guardia. It can belong to Porre (or to Guardia which belongs to Porre). If such thing happens, then Arris Dome exists in the Home World, so... So what? I can't imagine what happens here... What do you think?

Excuse me if this is a noob question, but why is the Sea of Eden destroyed in the Home World? Is this the part where the worlds split?

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Chrono Cross CD 2
« on: September 10, 2005, 03:58:42 pm »
Well, I just got Chrono Cross. I have no PSX so I used an emulator a friend gave me. It's called AdriPSX.

I reached the point where you visit the shaman, when I decided to do the first "normal" save (instead of saving states). But hey, I noticed that I couldn't. AdriPSX help says that Memory Card emulation doesn't really work yet and it isn't a priority :?:

If Chrono Cross is in 2 CDs, I assume that after reaching the "end" of CD 1 you save and then insert CD 2. But how the bloody hell (ooops, I must stop playing :P) will I go to CD 2 without using Memory Card? Should I get a new emulator and start the game again?       Or has Square cared about users without Memory Card?

I'm scared. I don't want to start over...  :( Please, does anybody know something that could help?

Chrono Compendium Discussion / New Home Page Problem

It seems that the home page of Chrono Compendium has been changed... It opens correctly with Internet Explorer but not with Firefox...

I don't know if this has already been discussed, but have you noticed that these two tracks (Chrono Trigger, Corridors of Time) are very similar? In fact, the theme Corridors of Time contains the theme of Chrono Trigger, but it is modified and sounds different (I'm not speaking about the instruments, but the melody itself). If you haven't yet noticed, listen to Corridors of Time while having the Chrono Trigger in mind and tell me your opinion about it.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / I want Chrono Cross

How can I get CC? I can't find it here (in my country) - even CT hasn't ever come. If someone has it (CC) please send me a mail (if the mail includes the game, it'll be a little more welcome, heh   )...
