Characters, Plot, and Themes / Re: Why Serge?

Fair enough.

But I have a question: Did the Entity go out of it's way to specifically target Crono and the others? Or did he just go out of it's way to pick SOMEONE. Not sure if that made sense, probably worded it wrong

You're saying learning a real programming language is simpler than tweaking some numbers and commands in an editor? That's kinda hard to believe. Did you learn RGSS alone, from scratch, or did you have tutorials, support forums, etc.? TF is much easier, it's just that there are no organized documentation as of now. There are tons of topics called "How to..." or "What do you want to do" to ask questions though.

For the most part I learnt it from scratch, but I checked out basic documentation. I suppose for me ive never really looked hard into TF, considering mine isnt even working at the moment. And TF really was more Chrono focused which is great obviously, but I like to have options on what to do. And RGSS works well for me.

Remember, everyone is entitled to their opinions.

General Discussion / Re: Nintendo Wii

But Nintendo wasn't going to actually call it the Revolution anyway. It was CODENAMED that until they had actually thought of a name.

Quote from: Wikipedia
On April 27, 2006, Nintendo changed the Revolution section of their official website, http://revolution.nintendo.com, to announce the official name (as opposed to the codename, Revolution)

Still the new name sucks.

Sorry to say, but i'd much rather the RPG Makers, so much simpler to handle then what TF is. Yes TF has some great capabilities, but it is all too technical for me. RPG Maker XP is currently my most used Maker, ive gotten to know RGSS (a form of the programming language Ruby for those who dont know) much better now and it is so easy to make great stuff.

TF is good in its own way but it's not my cuppa tea.

It's a very similar to "Why Crono?", for all we know it could just be pure randomization that it was Crono and Serge who were chosen to lead out these events and save time.

Chrono Trigger Flash Series / Re: The Future of the Flash Series
« on: April 30, 2006, 07:34:17 am »
I wish ya luck my friend. I spose I could help but I guess I just never show up here anymore. Ive kinda lost all interest in the Chrono series now. Ive been focusing way more on the completion of my novel, my social life...and in my spare time on the net, all i do is go on MSN. I cant really see myself returning here properly for a long long time...I mean, as far as I can tell, I have no authority in this sub-forum any more

Wishing you luck again!

Chrono Trigger Flash Series / News post Friday

Ultimately, the idea of merging projects may work. But then again, it may not. Already im thinking maybe we shouldn't; merging two projects will be harder to co-ordinate, mainly because there will be two different groups wanting to get things done in a different way.

It may be worth giving it a try, but I have a funny feeling it might not be the right thing to do at this point in time.

If we can release even one scene (like u said) that may allow people outside of the Project or even outside of the Compendium to contemplate joining. This at the moment should be our goal.

We may return to the decision of merging later on I think, we will leave it as a 'last resort'. For now, we will try and chug along, now matter how long it takes, im staying here and helping, i hope everyone else will too.

Chrono Trigger Flash Series / What to call it
« on: March 07, 2006, 06:45:55 am »
My question is: Why are we even focusing on a name? Like Luminaire said: We dont have the time to argue about a name, I think we...no...We MUST get Episode I before we even THINK about a proper name. Episode I should have enough info in it so we can make a name from it, it's the first Episode, it HAS to look good!

Im sorry to be strict about this, but ive finally gotten sick of this no episode thing and discussing topics such as the name of it!! We need to work ppl, not discuss.

Good work Luminaire! I'm sorry I havent been in contact for the last week. The fact that I have dial-up internet limits the time i have on it. And aside from that, I have school-work ya know the way it is.

I know this is looking at the negative side, but I fear that we aren't attracting enough people to even sign up and have a look at what we're doing. I get a funny feeling that this entire project might be going downhill. I think we need to set a goal on this project: To have Episode I out for the public by May. This gives us approx. 2 months to work on it. I think this is enough time to work. How about it?

Yes it is good to know you're still here, just that we kinda hadn't heard from ya in a while that all. I think every now and then everyone should check in and update on their current works just to let me and everyone else know that progress IS being made.

Chrono Trigger Flash Series / What to call it
« on: February 26, 2006, 03:40:50 am »
Hmmm, im not worried either way when it comes to the name of the Flash. To Far Away Times was never my most favourite choice, but after working with it for a while it grew on me it kinda wouldnt be fair for Luminaire to have to change his Sig

Chrono Trigger Flash Series / Hello from Avatar
« on: February 23, 2006, 04:22:32 am »
Oh yes, Luminaire, Avatar/Josh is a close friend of mine from school, so we can chat almost everyday, he is new to Chrono Trigger but he will soon learn the storyline. What a great way to experience the marvel that CT is by doing a Flash Project!  :D
