You know, I still doubt that they tied CT and CC perfectly and all their loose ends. Zeality,Agent 12 and Chrono'99 the CE writers still left some plot left for interpretation like the fate of Lavos after the Atash Kedah in 65, 000 ,000 BC. On the bright side, fan/Compendiumite can whether write a fanfic based on CE storyline to cover the plot or discuss to death on the possible upcoming analysis thread.

That's not a loose end since the Carmine Genesis is canceled (literally as soon as it happens from King Zeal's point of view).

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't there is no need for that? Marle does not has any memory
about being threw to jail, because she is another version of Marle from another timeline aka Masamuneless timeline. The Marle who died at prison is from Reptite timeline, and sent into DBT thanks to CMG interfering King Zeal, thus altering the Reptite timeline.

Marle has no memory of that, but Cakulha certainly should. He is supposed to be one that threw Marle in jail and went back to 2305 AD.

What will happen if Frog bring his own Masamune back to 11995 B.C.?

That could have worked perhaps, but Frog's Masamune is more powerful than the original one (in CT it was repaired with fresh Dreamstone straight out of Prehistory), so there was a risk that it could have still changed the timeline. Putting the original Masamune back to where it belongs was a safer solution for Belthasar and the party.

Lavos's fate is left open to interpretation. The characters never get into a situation in which they could meet Lavos in the Reptite timeline, so we just "don't know" if he was alive in it. The apocalypse didn't happen in Reptite 1999, but the Frozen Flame did get some action in that timeline with the Carmine Genesis of 3 million BC. But as Magus says in the Ioka reunion, we don't know (at this point anyway) if the Frozen Flame has the will of Lavos, its own will, or something else.

Also, it is interesting to note that the Frozen Flame "corrupted" the Reptites, that these "corrupted" Reptites built the Vision Serpent, and that the Vision Serpent is a predecessor to the Dragon God in this timeline. The Vision Serpent claimed to act according to the will of the planet. But was he? This one's left to interpretation too.

EDIT: Also V, feel free to move this thread if needed. I'm not sure where it should go... Maybe in the Chapter 13 thread or something.

Yeah usually I polish the scenes and maps and there are a few scenes I coded myself (for instance the Mystic Den and Glenn's decision, and the Atash Kedah), but here I didn't have to do anything, everything just blew my mind :)

I'd like to know why Cakulha is so kind all of a sudden though. He killed Marle and laughed at the death of rags-Cedric and the humans of the Reptite 1 AD... Why didn't he want to take over Chronopolis in this timeline? In my plot draft, he was supposed to still have caused a nuclear threat and whatnot, with the only difference being that the Central Regime wouldn't believe the Time Fortress rumors that spread after the missile base attack, and so Chronopolis wouldn't risk being discovered (which is the initial reason why Belthasar wanted to restore the Masamune timeline).

Chrono Compendium Discussion / Re: Crimson Echoes DVD Idea

Aye, good point. Someone could, however, still do this with the Youtube videos. It's a lengthier process; you have to rip the videos off Youtube, put 'em on some portable media, and sell that media.

Yeah but NickyT suggested making a DVD with menus, music, etc. Basically a polished product, rather than a simple MPEG or MP4 file.

Oh, I think I misunderstood what you were doing here. This is basically just downloading the videos, right? If SE doesn't have a problem with the videos on Youtube, then why would they have a problem with this?

Because you never know when some jackass will start burning copies and sell them on eBay for profit.

That's what either Terminus Trad or Zeality thought when they formated the script, but it's not a Nu.

Kasmir is a Mystic illusionist. In the original plot outline he didn't have illusion spells, but when we added the Masamune-less timeline I added this aspect to explain why Glenn didn't manage to kill him between 600 and 605 AD. Kasmir hides in a secret fortress and only send illusions of him to the battlefield so he never risks his life. I was vaguely inspired by the Lichs of D&D or the Russian legend of Koschei the Deathless.

*EDIT*
So... King is that out side the normal flow of time thing? He teams up with Dalton Kasmir and the last Reptite. This part is really too much of NOW we tie all lose ends. Oh well still awesome though. I'm putting my money on a sad ending.

King Zeal isn't outside out of time. However, he can time travel at will using the Frozen Flame.

Before you did a polish of CMG's Reptite chapter I had the Xamoltan go in the gate after the CMG and Sorin went through.  I added this to explain how she ended in 65 M B.C.  (cause she was currently in 1005 AD).  Is there a reason you took that out?  I just assumed that I had some sort of Time/Dimension theory wrong when I saw it was gone.

Sorin's travel makes no difference by himself as said in the Plothole topic; however, the moment CMG step into that Gate, the Reptite timeline ceases to exist since they prevent it in 64,999,995 BC. Yaluk and Coyopa don't have the time to follow them through the Gate because they're both 65,001,000 years "too late".

Wow, really? Thats ridonculous! I wish I had known that before I hung my Perfect Game hat. I had every character, been everywhere, did everything, and Beat the Chronosphynx. *sigh* Ouch, my pride......

Belthasar mentions the Neo-Epoch at Terra Tower, and when you walk behind the desk in his Viper Manor's room there's a different "step noise" than elsewhere.

Also, it's not a Nu; it's a Beach Bum. The renaming Nu was in Laruba and the Neo-Epoch has only one seat in CC. It has two additional seats in CE, but I guess you can imagine that Belthasar removed them after CE/ before CC when he would be the only one to use it.

EDIT: So concerning why Yaluk is in Prehistory, she and Coyopa both emerged in 1005 AD when the human timeline was restored. King Zeal told them that Crono's party were the enemy and he sent Yaluk to Prehistory. As seen in the video, Yaluk didn't listen to him and just decided to live in Singing Mt instead of hunting down the party.

Yeah, Robo/Lucca were in a Reptite version of 2305 AD. Humans didn't exist there (they were defeated in 1 AD as Marle saw). Chronopolis and Dinopolis don't switch places.

In my opinion, Kasmir is clearly Cyrus's Ghost, recolored and with a new head.

Yup, though Kasmir is a bit slimmer.

The Gate Key doesn't create Gates, it just stabilizes them. She didn't have to know what lies on the other side.

Yeah, the Gate Key stabilizes Gates that already exist, like the blue ones found scattered around. The pendant opened the first one at the Telepod but that's about all it did. In the rest of the game it's the Gate Key that opens Gates.

Lucca built the gate key... >.> what?

Out of thin air? She didn't take a piece of the pendant or anything, and that's all the explanation it would have needed. How? How? How?

The Yuji Horii effect.

12,000 is correct though, isn't it? That's when he revived Schala, and thus, that's when he would take the Red Knife from the Mammon Machine. --ZEAL

I wanted to imply that King Zeal revived Schala in 11,995 (a bona fide resurrection, not like Crono's Death Peak scene, more like Serge's panther wounds getting healed by the Frozen Flame). Otherwise he would have to go to 12,000 and then go to 11,995 and wait for the party. What actually happens is that he goes to 11,995 and resurrects Schala just before the party arrives.

It's all just so that we can have the party and King Zeal "accidentally" meet in the Ocean Palace without it sounding too forced. It has to be accidental because the timeline turns into the Masamune-less timeline only when the party interfers (without Magus, who's weak against the Masamune, the King has no reason to use the sword).
