I couldn't read what I wrote or your response; it just had a line including my username and then a small blank line underneath.  Although I could read the first message you sent.  I'll try again later today.  Thank you for creating this!

Just got back from a much-needed visit to Kentucky to see my brother and his girlfriend and their many pets (8 cats, 1 dog, 1 rabbit, 1 guinea pig, 1 ball python, 1 tarantula!).  It was absolutely wonderful.

Doing the annual watch-through of all the extended editions of LotR and boy do I adore these movies.

This is fantastic.  Whoever translated this, thank you!

Blame the Kings of France. Everything screwy about fashion that can't be blamed on Queen Victoria was their fault.

This makes me happy I decided to wear my "Committee of Public Safety: Established 1793" shirt today.

Edit:  Ahh I am at my Day of Lavos post!

I'm not even talking about stilettos.  I have never owned a pair of stilettos.  I'm talking about plain old shoes that you wear with a skirt or a nice pair of pants.  Even the most flat and mundane skirt-worthy shoes will kill your feet.  It's one of the incredibly shitty things that come with being a girl.

WHY are nice shoes for girls so goddamn painful?!  Is it too much to ask for some dress shoes that don't slice into your feet like knives?  I have never been able to find a set of heeled shoes or even fancy flats that didn't cut up my feet and make me hobble around and look like I was crippled after taking them off.

Seeing yourself on TV is bizarre as hell.  I was on the news briefly in 2007 and caught the segment.  I looked and sounded absolutely nothing like I thought I did in my head.

This is awesome.  I have the album in mp3 format (and it's amazing), but I'd love to have the CD.  Thanks for sharing!

I couldn't find that specific article, but here's a good post I read a while ago about the sexism in DW: link.

I am so beyond excited for this!

Right.  He's the main reason I've stopped watching DW.  I really do not like how he writes women, and I know I'm not alone in that (a lot of female DW fans I know have given up on the show out of frustration).  There's an interesting article I found about Moffat and female characters that sums up how I feel very well; if I can find it I'll link it.

I would really want to see a female Doctor, although not in the hands of Moffat.

I might have the best ideas for soundtracks and music, but I totally can't "create" them, even with the best tools at hand.

Musical competency? I has not.

I get that, except replace "soundtracks and music" with "drawings."  I can barely draw stick figures, and it's so frustrating because I have all these wonderful ideas for art in my head (usually based on dreams) and I can't get transfer them onto paper.

People who make excuses for sexual violence infuriate me.
