« on: August 13, 2009, 10:41:49 am »chrono rift flows off the tongue mighty nice, but a trigger is a nound and to trigger something is a verb. a cross is a nound and to cross is a verb. thus the titles have multiple meanings, whereas an altar is a nound but not an alter. however, to shift is a verb and a shift is a noun. they basically mean the same thing, but it's the same logic.I know you meant no offense. ^_^
that's all i was getting at, and i mean no offense by any means. i admire your commitment to your project and the fact that it's already one of the very few full playable chrono based games anywhere. but chrono shift or chrono rift both sound really good.
And I never thought of Rift until you said that, so I'm going to look into it and see if I can draft up a logo.

« on: August 12, 2009, 10:21:37 pm »the new title doesn't make much sense to me. trigger and cross are nouns. alter is a verb. at least, in the definition that you are using. i liked chrono shift. but whatever floats your boat. it's your game.If we're going by that logic, "Chrono Rift" would make the most sense.

I decided to go with "Chrono Alter" for the new title. The word "Alter" is Latin for "Another" of "Second One". I like the ring to it, and I've drafted up a logo.

Sorry for the double post, but I am seriously considering renaming this game. The more I make it, the better ideas I get, and it's starting to feel like a whole new game, with a plot that is related to Chrono Chronicles. The ending... The ending has been changed the most. It's now going to lead into Chrono Cross.
There's even a brand-spankin' new final level. Even a new final boss. o.O
So, are there any name suggestions?
Name's I'm considering:
Chrono Shift
Chrono Break (I know, I know, I'd get shut down in a heartbeat)
Chrono Trigger II
Chrono Alter
Chrono Visis
Any thoughts/suggestions?

I come before the artists today because I am in need of a service. You see, for my project "Chrono Chronicles Remake" to be complete, I need a classic "Chrono" title screen. This is where you come in!
Due to the fact that I lack photoshot and the artistic talent to make one, I need someone to make a logo for me.

Is there any way you can change the control scheme to use WASD as the directional keys and JKL; for ABXY?Not that I'm aware of, but I do know that you can plug in a USB game-pad and use it like a SNES controller, and that's what I use. I use the D-Pad for movement, The "A" button for select, and the "B" button for cancel/menu.
Other than that, I have no idea mate. D=
*EDIT* Disregard that, I'm a moron.
I just remembered that the controls are spread throughout the keyboard. For example, "Z" and "X" work the same as enter and esc. So does the spacebar, and so on.
Give the controls your looking for a try and they might work. No promises, though.

Hello! Lance7 (or Lance7586 if you go by my youtube) here! First, I want to say I'm a long time reader and a first time poster. Now, on with business...
Back is 2007, I made a RPG Maker game some of you may have known as "Chrono Chronicles". Somehow, that project got posted on this site without me knowing until I found it on google. To be honest, I was flattered. For the longest time, I had discussed remakes of this project with many other people. I tossed around some ideas, but nothing really came into development until now. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the trailer and some screenshots of "Chrono Alter".

The reason I want it posted on here is because I think this helped the success of the original. The main page of Chrono Chronicles, the game has had over 3000 downloads, much more than the normal for an RPG Maker game. Again, I would like to thank whoever put the game up here for that. If they'll come forward, I'd like to send an early copy of "Chrono Chronicles Remake" to them. ^_^
Anyway, thank you for looking at this version and I hope you'll find it good enough to post on the site.
