I love the older generation of movies and tv shows. You know, like Star Trek, James Bond, Planet of the Apes, etc. These and many, many more that I neglect to list . . . they capture a spark of something that modern television simply lacks. And so often I find myself late at night watching the black-and-white shows of old.

Also, J, remind me to come over to your house during Thanksgiving. All that turkey sounds really delicious. :P

Hey, now, Mr Bekkler was only trying to say that you are not showing respect for Sajainta's belief when you are clearly seeking respect for your own. Fichi, how can you expect to gain that respect if you begin by rebuking another's belief?

Alright, thanks. But that makes wonder now how much I should actually write. I'll try to keep it short while still getting my idea across to the reader. If not, I could write it as a project for the Compendium instead; whichever works.

Is there a minimum or maximum length for the fanfiction, or is it however long the author feels it should be?

A little something which pissed me off today . . .

My mother is an elementary school teacher, and some time this morning a 5th grade girl came to talk to her. Apparently, a boy from her class had been harassing her, and this girl felt so violated that she had to speak with a teacher. Now, I don't know all the details, but for a young girl to feel like this within a school? That just makes me sick. Needless to say, the boy is being dealt with (by being sent to some alternative school).

I felt this deserved a place in this thread because, What kind of society do we live in where sexual harassment is seen within, of all places, an elementary school? What had that boy been taught to believe?

I love the latest Smallville episode. Best one I've seen in a long time. Very Superman. 8)

I'm frustrated that when I open an interesting Yahoo! article to read, I find another meaningless evolution vs. religion argument. Sigh. . .

Anyway, the article is pretty neat. It talks about the discovery of many new species being found in the Congo River, and how the turbulent water itself may have caused the separation and growth of new species. Check it out if you want.

So, gays lost in Maine. Fuck the Catholic Church.

I just read up on this from various sites. I was mostly disappointed with the poll result, until I read this:

“God has given us this victory,” Emrich continued, “and it is very important for us to recognize that he is the one who put the energy into this campaign. So let’s not be so arrogant to forget this. It’s very appropriate to pause for a moment of prayer.”

Then I was kinda pissed. (apologies if I'm being too offensive)

In other news, my music player has apparently been lost to the Darkness Beyond Time. :(

Ha! I just watched it and then skimmed through Hiro's blog. I never knew he was such a Chrono fan!

Though I am kinda disappointed that in this one episode alone Hiro screwed up time just about as much as Crono did. :?

Man, this is terrible to hear. I hope to never be faced by the thought of suicide, and I feel sorry for those who do. Not because I think they're stupid or anything like that, no; but because there are so many things in life to enjoy. We only have one life, and should be living it in the fullest. Still, I can see how severe depression and other factors can lead to such thoughts.
