The launching point theroy sounds preety damn plausible. Who knows how many planets Lavos has destroyed before and IF not for Chrono and the gang who knows how many he would have afterwards.
As for how death peak got there Any number of things could have happened. massive tectonics plates shifting, Death peak could be a volcano;or the remnants of one. Or he could have just transformed his shell into it or something to that effect. The launching platform seems most likely.

Only thing that ties it to CT are the three sages. But the sages are based of the 3 wise men anyway. (as they are in Xenogears, NGE etc)

RD is a alternate dimension where the events in RD repeat over nad over again. At leats thats my take on it. Wheter theres Mutiple dimensa with similar events occuring or there is just the one who is to say.
Both Radical Dreamers and Chrono Cross are NOT sequels To Chrono Trigger. There Both Gaiden's OR Side Stories to it.
In an interview with the creator(s) they specifically said that CC was a side story other wise they would have called it Chrono Trigger 2.
So side story NOT sequel Nevermind what it says on the back of the CC case.

As for the whole Epoch Thing; Well Lucca said she was going to dismantle it Soon. So wouldent that preety much sum it up? Unless you dont count the ending where she says that. I dont think she'd just leave it lying around. IT would have to be dismantled/destroyed.
However I dont know why she wouldent use her knowledge to rebuild it and correct the invasion of guardia. She was killed (who knows what else) in 1010 right? SO thats a full five years after guardia falls. One would have thought she would have taken action. Unless of course im mistaken about the dates and this happened at the same time guardia fell.
Im a little confuzzled.

Im not sure IF its even Legal for Square to Issue such an order. Its a threat anyway. But my point is i do not see how SE has any Legal standing to Sue them should it come to a suit. NONE of these Projects Were making ANY money off of Square's Intelectual property.
IF i was running the site id be scared of square's C &D order too but Id show a little backbone and stand up to them. Theres no way you can be forced to stop what you were doing when your not making any money off of the game.

basically serge and kid memerioes are wiped of the events that transpired yet kid still remembers serge and is looking for him. Theres shot fo the game and japenese people walking in modern times. You didnt miss much.

The way i understand it if a time traverler does somethign that significantly alters the timeline alters everyone in that timeline hence including other time travelers who are visting that period at the time. At least thats what i gleaned from the various articles on the main site.

ok well You should start by reading the artices on the main site. They cover a wide array of subjects and will cover your question.
Its kinda hard to explain but "alternate timeline" seems the best way to sum it up in a nut shell. im sure someone else can offer a more comprehensive answer and feels like typing it all out.

So its only a battle against them then? The screen shot has marle and crono with max life and magic so am i too assume this is one of those "nightmare" battles that you should only hope to beat if your levels are super high?
