Wow I really just read all of that. Kinda surprising it wasn't more favored towards Magus to be honest. Me personally, I like Magus but I was always bothered by his random change of heart by telling the crew about saving Crono. Yes you could say that they shared a common goal, but why would he care about bringing Crono back? He himself said Crono was weak.

You got whacked, 'cuz you're weak.

I always liked that line. But anyways, most likely he just thought having Crono on the team was going to be helpful for both their causes. I'm still not convinced.

You get all four of them for the listed price. I asked around, and it definitely is all four. Both online and through numerous magazines. I might get two sets since they are so cheap!

While in theory writing between third person omnipresent and first person is an interesting endeavor it wouldn't work very well for the story. There are so many liberties to take when sharing with the reader what one of the characters is thinking. For all you know you might not like what We would have the characters think in certain situations. It's honestly better for the reader to think for themselves there as we are not writing this only for the fans but for fans of reading as well. Catering to both is something that is taken into extreme consideration with every scene we write.

(I know that this is an incredibly late response but I didn't want him/her to be left without explanation)

Dalton is a comic relief character with a funny antics.

Not as funny as Ozzie, Slash and Flea.

Ozzie wears freakin' pants on his head, so... Well, I can't argue with that.

I can cause he wears underwear on his head. Not pants. :-p

Dalton is funnier because he is so arrogant along with his eccentric nature. The Mystic trio is funny just because they are eccentric (and Ozzie is mentally challenged when it comes to planning a fight).

Out of those it is Ayla's quote. It is so profound and true even in such a basic form of English. I would have chosen "Lower thine guard..." but twas not to be on this poll.

I'd agree with Meta if that was on here. Mucho relaxo fishing town for the win. But yeah I'll go with the carnival atmosphere of Truce as backup.

What, no Robo? Sure he's a robot, but damn if he doesn't get some love too! (I voted for him)

Knowing our luck (our being Chrono fans) they'll make a Chrono game for the PS3 and then we'll all have to spend the 600$ to buy the system.  :( (Not to say I wouldn't do it in a heartbeat, I just would be sad that I'd have to spend that much )

I dunno really which forum to throw this in, so i figured this would be the best one. I did a full drawing of Crono (instead of just the head I did last time). Feel free to comment!

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Re: Favourite Music

My favortie Trigger track bounces around. It's always between To Far Away Times, Peaceful Days, and Undersea Palace. Cross is easy, that's Another Arni. I have yet to play Dreamers.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Re: More Cross ruminations
« on: July 10, 2006, 01:18:36 am »
I remember vividly my first time with Cross. I had been here for a good period of time so I knew some of the plot from analysis but not everything. I was very worried about playing it, because of the fact that most every Trigger fanatic disliked it or didn't find it on par to Trigger at all. I didn't want to play it for that reason, I really didn't wanna be another Cross hater. But I eventually caved and played it, and I'm glad I did. I agree with the basic faults pointed out; way too many PC's and a battle system that lacked substance (but to be fair Trigger's battle system was so simple and challengeless it's hard to blame Square for trying somthing completely different).

I defintely don't think it sucked at all though. The soundtrack is as beautiful as Triggers and the characters that are worth following really pulled me into the story. I think it's dumb to say that having Serge as a SP is a fault since it worked so well with Crono. It's just a staple of the series, something you have to live with. If you don't like it then play RPG's that don't have them. It's a tried and true formula that worked in countless classic RPG's so it's really pointless to complain about it. Sure the game has it's faults, but you can't expect lightning to strike twice. (punny) How many series have two games in it that are both nearly 100% flawless? Not to mention ones with stories that are as complex and detailed as the ones we cover so adamently.

Although I agree with the point that everyone is entitled to thier own opinion, I cant think you can consider yourself a true fan of the series if you are going to say that either game sucks. Obviously you can't pick both to be the better game, but you are insulting your favorite just as much by saying the other sucked. It's the same core group of people that made it, they knew what they were doing. Insulting thier ability to create such a magical and vibrant universe but loving a third of it is just plain ignorance.

Fan Project News/Updates / Re: Chrono Script Draft Now Available

I discussed that very thing with Claado before the whole Symphonic process started and we both thought that it would require an entire trilogy to be able to fit everything in. But he was only going for one movie not three which is why he made the cuts that he did.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / I know why Frog talks like Shakespeare

Why is that Frog only speaks like a normal person when, well, he is a normal person? Maybe his old english is just a gay side effect of the curse.

It isn't a side effect becuase when he first awakens he doesn't talk in that tounge, he talks normally.
