Whats Mahou Shouju O.o

Maho shojo = magical girl. Something where a girl is born with or recieves some form of magical power to use (which she is usually fated to recieve anyways, or the circumstances of/before her birth make it inevitable) - in some cases to fight some enemy with (ala Sailor Moon, although actually that is a very slight variant of the maho shojo genre though I forget what it's exactly called), or in other cases to use in absolutely ordinary situations to solve little problems that pop up in her life, usually to do with romance or having her powers found out (ala Miracle Girls).  Most of the first magical girl shows had to do with young witches... so I guess you could say Sabrina the Teenage Witch could almost belong in that category...

Okay, I am rambling way too much about that. o.O;;

By the waym what is high school credit O.o

High school credit is kind of a system where they figure out if you have everything you need to graduate, if you've taken the right courses and passed them and whatnot.

.... I suck at explaining things. But you can probably ask a guidance counselor about it at whatever HS you'll end up at, and they are likely to be able to explain it better, as well as tell you what classes you might need to graduate.

Hmm, I just remembered two questions.

1) Can you guys, or do you guys, in American Highschools use calculators? Here, in math, we're allowed. But I know that like in Japan, you're not allowed, so yeah O.o

BTW, do you guys still have to have showers after P.E. Here we don't :P WTF, showering in school O.o

Yes, we were allowed to use calculators. You can even use them during the tests you take to get into college (ACT and SATs)  but they don't allow certain types of calculators because you can program the answers into them and whatnot.

And... I don't know about the PE one. I think so, but I don't think it's required, but then I wouldn't know since I haven't taken a PE class since middle school.

Well, I honestly don't see the logic in that. Having been in Engineering in university I've been around smart people of both genders (and, as was Engineering, there were plenty of men who were highly intelligent), and I can't say one to be inherently smarter than the other. What women tend to be is more focussed and driven, but that is not a good thing, as it can burn one out.

Really, I've never seen anything from women that has proved to me they are either smarter or more mature than men. It's just gender conflict. On a totally equal playing field, they would be equal - or, simply, the potential is equal.

That was something that I could never understand about most girls I have known throughout my life - how they can claim to be so much more mature than males. Females are just as likely to be immature in their own ways.

I own the first season on DVD, but I haven't watched any of the second season. I'm not good at keeping up with TV schedules, and I'm a bit anal about watching things out of order, so I'll wait for the second season to be on DVD and hope I'm not broke at the time. ^^;

If only things were defined by gender, the world would be so much easier. Then people can't complain that they don't have oppurtunities.

Anyway, half of that post was stereotism that I saw at my school, at any rate.

I don't know, I would much rather be defined by my personality than by my gender.

Stereotism! :D

I'm sorry. I'll go hide in my box now.

If you're noticed, a lot of girls in schools are really dumb. The ones that want guys to like them don't bother studying or just act stupid. Look at Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson (she acts stupid though). Then theres the ones that are just stupid and try and act cute. Then we have the feminists that think they're better than the guys when they're not and shit cuz they're like the former. And then we have the really smart asian/russian girls that are disciplined, but hate having to study.

I think it's the fact that back in the olden days, girls didn't get educated, and the ones that did proved that they could be educated and hence were very smart.

Boys on the other hand could get an education, but refused it.

Anyway, these days, we have those sporty boys that are kind of ignorant and arrigant. Then dumb nerds, the ravers (who don't know shit but say they do to get you down), the self absorbed bunch and those smart stuck up people. And the best are the quiet types that are smart xD Theyre usually picked on though.

You're trying to rely too heavily on putting people into little well defined groups. Meeting some people within a group and actually getting to know them usually disproves a lot of what you wrote. Pretty much all you wrote comes down to that females are stupid or would prefer being stupid, because you just said that none of them study, and that if they do, they hate it and do it grudgingly against their will because they are disciplined. When you possibly go into describing males, you mention nothing of study habits in comparison. And then of those groups you could be talking about females as well anyways, because you only really specify gender the once with "sporty boys."

Honestly, trying to weigh things by gender, I haven't observed very many differences as far as studying and the importance of education goes to individuals. I have met both males and females who study hard and take school seriously, have met of both genders those who shirk education at every moment and yet are still intelligent, have met of both genders those who drop out of HS. Gender does not seem to heavily play into a person's intellect.

it's the worst when a girl doesn't love you. ( if you love her, this gives such a pain ) i love a girl, it must have been 3 years, but she DOES NOT. i even thought of suiciding, and i tried to suicide for 2 or 3 times, but it failed. i couldn't die.

what a pain.

That's... not really a good reason to commit suicide. Otherwise a lot of people should be killing themselves, because not everyone is happily ever after accepted by the person they love. Hell, I should be long gone and dead myself in that case. Twice over, in fact.

Actually, the number 3 represents The Tomato in ancient Palolo mythology. Coincidence? I think not.

So J turns into a Tomato for those three hours! Amazing.

....Which brings about the further question, would you go with what most of society believes and call him a vegetable, or by his actual classification and call him a fruit?

It was a joke man, a joke. No one is stupid enough to make a self-statement about his own grammar knowledge and use of.

BTW It be clear that I me the intellect more best than they all.

Me wants to see he, make better grammar than those, biatch?! hUH.

Omigosh, now that's a contradiction paradox.  :lee:

Yes, he was able to write that long of an answer on his education and experience/opinion of the school system from K-12 as a part of the ongoing running gag about how long his posts are. The posts that he make that are on occasion strangely concise are not really written by him, but rather an alternate ego that takes over for roughly 3 hours in a day. And it's never 3 consecutive hours, but rather random intervals dispersed throughout a 24 hour period that always adds up to be exactly 3 hours. Scientists have still not been able to confirm the significance of the number 3.

....Also, on the bit of no one being that stupid, I have met a lot of people that really are that incredibly sure of their own intelligence.

The irony of some mangas is that they release the anime before the manga.

Hmm, like Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, or the anime that started this strip: Evangelion.
I haven't read much yet, though I have heard that Evangelion's manga seems to follow the same general story, but goes into a few things deeper that the anime didn't necessarily have.
And then there's always the Iron Girlfriend manga that seems to follow the alternate universe form of Evangelion... I only read a bit of that, but it seemed interesting...

Rambleramble rather pointlessly... I do like to enjoy both anime and manga versions, although for series where fewer changes tend to be made, I might have to space them out a bit.

Sorry...I can see how somebody new here might take it that way. It might be an arrogant claim, but it isn't false. My grammer are the better.

Oh no, it's a bit beyond that statement. There were a few more that I believe had me thinking, "This guy is nearly as arrogant as my brother." And then that one just kind of pushed you slightly over him as far as arrogance goes.

Besides, it is one thing to claim that your grammar is better than most (which is not difficult to see as true), and another to say that you are the best grammatical intellect a person is likely to come across. To come across on the internet? Or in that person's entire life? Because then I suppose the former would not be near as bad as the latter.

Hmm, I have always preferred manga over anime for some reason. Usually with most shonen it is pretty directly brought over (though not always the case), but most shojo stuff is very different when done as an anime, and sometimes certain plot devices are removed that fit much better, but that's just in my opinion. Also, even for Japan, animation made from comics tends to be aimed at a younger audience, and certain things are cut out or altered here or there from what the author originally intended in the manga (they took the condom out of Peach Girl, and I can't remember correctly on this so I may be wrong, but they took out the scene where Luffy stabs himself in the face, giving himself his scar in the anime of One Piece)

It may not be actually moving, but I've always felt that certain images can display a lot of action or emotion in them, or at least they do for me. Sometimes I get the full emotional context from the anime better, but I have also gotten the same from manga as well.

Why complain?

People love complaining. It's just so fun! :D

Hmm. Filler. I actually didn't mind DBZ's filler so much (despite the fact most of it created gaping plotholes that were a bit annoying), but I have been finding it difficult to watch Naruto's filler. Same with Bleach for the moment, and the place where the people I download OP from have hit is filler too. I figure I'll watch them another time, but not for the moment.

Has anyone else kept up with the manga, or are you all just strictly anime watchers? Just curious.

I like the outfits after the time skip. ^^
