Youth really shouldn't be used as an excuse, though. I mean, we say we don't hold peoples youth against them, and then we give them special allowances. Learn to think things through quicker a bit, he might, if rude you be. Apparently since he's still looking for help getting to level 99 on CT, even though many people have explained how already, it's proof that things don't sink in too well. So, if you want things to sink in, you have to make them stand out.

Well, I guess... but I remember when I was his age and I was probably a lot worse. I used to think up ways to be annoying and spam and didn't get a lot of things because of my ADD. I don't think that he's doing it on purpose, at least. I think in general it's better to be courteous the first time and then be bitchier subsequent times. People make annoying threads in here all the time. Does that tripod person still post? I mean, since V's been gone, no one is going to "Locke" the threads and it's either going to turn to Zeality spamming, or someone bitching if it continues.

Oh well the passage I found was about Hareton hanging a puppy. So I guess that he took after both his sadistic father, and asshole guardian/master. I think that both of them hanging the puppies kind of sent her over the edge because she realized she had been thrown into a whole web of deceit and cruelty. She was just a pawn. I actually kind of admire her character because at least it doesn't sound like she went crazy, but really wanted a better life for her and her son. It's too bad that she died young and Heathcliff survived, so he could continue his scheming.

^ Um... actually I believe that was Hareton specifically.  Heathcliff usually didn't physically abuse, he was much, much more of a psychological and emotional abuser. Hareton's genes-- his father namely is actually much more sadistic than Heathcliff's. Actually, Hareton's father, Hindley's cruel sadism is one of the reasons Heathcliff is such a horrible individual.

I personally love Heathcliff. I certainly love him better than that dumb psycho bitch he obsessed over for all his life. I find Heathcliff rather like my one of my favorite literary characters, Snape. A bunch of cruel shit happened to him when he was young which he could never  get over. That and the love of his life was a psychowoman who literally drove herself so crazy that she died. Well technically it was from childbirth but... still. Heathcliff still wasn't done obsessing over her. He continued his quest for driving everyone around him to either craziness or misery because that was the only vindication he could have. I'm surprised that Heathcliff inspired this revulsion in you. I guess that I have experienced that with Catharine more. I really hate her >_>;. I mean, she was basically mentally ill most of her adult life which could be an excuse I suppose, and even before a selfish bitch, but she kind of was the driving force that really made Heathcliff live out the rest of his life doing everything in his power to make himself and others miserable.

I love old books. I've been into Wuthering Heights recently. There have been a lot of feminist discourses on it. Mostly, I read the book for the lulz because OMFG it is all melodrama. I remember when Heathcliff's wife ran away because he treated her like shit. She died and had his kid and eventually the kid had to return to him and he was like "Your mother, that slut! How dare she not mention my name?" The feminist discourse is that Isabella, the wife, was feminist because she ran away from an abusive husband to raise her kid on her own, and this was really rare in those days. There are other discourses about other women in the book, but mostly I don't pay attention to analyzing Catherine because there is little to analyze- she is a completely psycho, over emotional bitch who dies from her own craziness.

On another note, what does everyone think of all these young girls maturing so early these days. Mostly, they've determined it's hormones from stuff the mom and girls eat. That is really sad : (. There are so many girls who have matured young and keep getting mistaken for older girls. I know that my neighbor's 11 year old looked like she was at least 15 to me at first. Then there is still the issue of parents allowing their daughters to dress like 18 year olds or just... really badly. For example, Heather Locklear's 12 year old. I can't find the picture right now because it was posted on facebook, but no 12 year old needs to be wearing tiny hotpants D:. She could easily be mistaken for a 16 year old or maybe older.

If I had a daughter, hopefully her dork genes will protect her, but I would not be a "feminist" parent because I wouldn't allow her to wear anything close to that until she was at least 18 :p. My parents never had any kind of problem with me because I wasn't that type, but other girls need a lot more restrictions.

So my grandma isn't doing well and I've been kind of stressed about that lately. Over a week ago, dad made me take him to the airport at five in the morning and it has fucked over my sleeping so much that it's basically impossible to sleep without nyquil D:. I'm willing to give melatonin another shot, but I haven't had the time to buy it. The good news is that hopefully in October, we can have grandma live in a nursing home in state rather than out of state. The bad news is that her dementia has progressed to Alzheimers and it really upsets dad. I've kind of accepted it. I'll be happy as long as she remembers us from time to time.

Also I'm annoyed that in so many cases, I get completely stammered with just one or two drinks. Was drinking with coworkers today. You know them library-types, complete party animals  . Anyway, I had two cocktails and was so damn drunk, I'm glad that they cut me off or else I'd be passed out somewhere. At the same time, I'm disappointed they cut me off because I *wanted* to be passed out somewhere >_>;. Too bad this isn't Japan and you can't really do that in public here. Once I get to a certain level,  I can't really control myself and need others to control me. Must have something to do with my Russian blood. Mom's side are all horrible drunkards.

Hello. Generally, forum etiquette dictates that it is better to keep your similar ideas in one thread, rather than make a bunch of them. Also, this thread might be more well-suited for a different sub-forum like... I dunno one of those project forums or something.

At this point here, I don't think anyone cares anymore, but just in general. We used to have a mod who was very strict about certain things, but he's busy having a life now (I mean that in a good way :3) so he hasn't really been around.

The most you'll have is people bitching at you or Zeality will troll if he's in the mood. I used to do that a lot, not troll, but bitch about threads like this,  but since you are young and new, I won't.

Good luck with your sprite.

Awww, thanks you guys.

Winner!    I've been on a super Harry Potter binge lately--I re-read all the books and re-watched all of the movies in the past month.  Snape is, and has always been, my absolute favourite character in the novels.  I have so much HP-related fanart that I thought I would make a "child / young teen Snape" theme.

<3 <3 Snape indeed!  YES!

I'll show you my personal project then-  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezqOXYEt58E . It was a culmination of all my favorite artwork. I have a ton too lol. When I'm on a particular Snape binge, I'll go spend hours looking for new artwork/fanfiction XD; .  I also made one for Regulus Black. Not sure which one is better. I can't wait till the last movie comes out, so I can do what I always wanted- one of those super emo Lily/Snape vids and actually use clips from the movie. Oh god it better not disappoint.

That sucks indeed. Pancreatic Cancer is really the most horrible of cancers IMO because it's really hard to catch and then once you do catch it, it's almost impossible to survive it. I hope that research into it will be expanded in the future along with better ways to test for it.

He was one of my very favorite directors too D:. RIP Kon-san.

General Discussion / Re: Whats YOUR Favourite Game?
« on: August 24, 2010, 04:47:04 am »
Obviously CT, but I guess other than that, FF6, most Zelda games, and Fire Emblem...7 probably. As for Mario games, it would probably be 2. Favorite platformer is Donkey Kong Country 2. I'm also very partial to Red Alert 2. As for fighting games... that one is hard, but probably King of Fighters 1998 or 2002 and possibly Street Fighter 4.  Guess that's about it for favorites.

Congrats : D.

On an unrelated note, I notice that a lot of your latest avatars seem very Snapely. I just noticed one from a fanart I really like- him and lily sitting somewhere springy. I'm reaallllly into Snape. Recently, my obsession's waned a little because I got into Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, whom I consider rather Snapely as well, but still <3<3 Snape.

Unfortunately I kind of screwed up my tickets, so Saturday is the only day I can do anything D:. But yeah, I'm coming then. I'm up for anything on Saturday, really.

General Discussion / Re: Where to start for custom built PCs?
« on: August 24, 2010, 04:31:24 am »
Putting together PCs is rather easy these days. Mostly insert slot A into slot B type of things. Pretty useful to learn on your own, even if you're not a computer enthusiast. My new one was just built yesterday and I ordered everything from newegg. Ended up being about 560 dollars. I'm so done with laptops D:.

Speaking of the Gato line, not only is it better in Japanese, but it's so awesome they animated that. I bet a lot of you have seen the CT OVA, but this is just CLASSIC-
