Characters, Plot, and Themes / Why is it that Glenn can only regain his true form after Magus dies?

So... I've read this a few times already while browsing through the different threads.
I keep reading that Frog can only go back to being Glenn after Magus dies. But where is this explained in-game?
I've never seen any reference to this in CT, so I don't get why Magus dying is a requirement.
I get that if you kill Magus instead of recruiting him you get to see Glenn in the end scene, but that doesn't neccessarily mean that he can't undo the spell if he wanted to, right?
Just a doubt, sorry if this has already been discussed in a different thread

Yikes... I know this is a really (reeeally) old thread, but I've been looking for ways of being more useful to the compendium. Since I don't know squat 'bout hacking I figured that I could put my not-so-awful translation skills to good use.
Anyone know if is still possible to contribute with a CT and/or CC english-to-spanish translation project?

I used to have more vivid dreams when I was younger.
Now, I only rarely remember my dreams when I wake up. Though I still have lucid dreams.
lol, me too. I used to have that one very often. Also, I sometimes dream that I'm running and that my legs can't support me, so I end up running like a dog, with my hands and feet.... Whenever I dream that, I get the same feeling that the "falling" dreams give you. Has anyone dreamt that too or is it just me?

« on: April 11, 2009, 07:46:04 pm »It's never stated that the unified timeline cancels all the events in CC. In fact, it would be ridicilous. It was merely stated that the dimensions were merged and Serge supposedly lost his memories. But he didn't.
What do you mean with "he didn't"? Serge doesn't loose his memories??
I thought time was sorta rewinded after the game finishes so that things start over right at the point where Leena and Serge are on the beach.
But I don't think that would affect Guile's memories in any way. It's just a couple of days that ceased to exist. But Guile had already lost his memories by then

Well, my big bro downloaded Znes and a bunch of games a few years back.
I got curious and started to check the games out, and inmediately got into CT and FFV.
Funny thing, my bro actually told me not to waste my time with CT (said it was boring...)
Well, i'm glad I didn't listen.
I've been a guest at the Compendium for a few years now, but it signed up for the forums after downloading Prophet's Guile and not being able to install it properly... i know i know... i'm kinda computer illiterate lol
I got curious and started to check the games out, and inmediately got into CT and FFV.

Then again, I find Janus=Guile as plausible as any other zealan sorcerer being dragged into that time and turning into him.

« on: March 22, 2009, 11:48:27 pm »The Dream Devourer ending could be a possible setup for Magus -> Guile, but there's only one problem with that. Guile's kinda fruity. He's a great mage and all, but I'd be sad to see Magus start wearing bright colours like that. Just doesn't fit him.
I have to agree with the "fruity" thing. I mean, this guy just doesn't feel like Magus did in CT. And the whole amnesia thing and him being somehow dragged into the whole CC thing seems too farfetched.
Magus was no sissy. How he could have turned into this amnesiac white-gowned magician is beyond me. It just doesn't feel right for such an important character, from a game as complex as CT, to be tossed into the CC world that lightly.

Lol, actually, I did it all over again and applied the Temporal Flux thing and its working now. Also, I downloaded the latest version of my emulator, which actually solved a problem i was having with the Retranslation Project, so THANK YOU BOTH for the help (and for replying so soon

Hey fellas!
I'm new here, and I just downloaded Prophet's Guile. It sounds pretty exiting, but I haven't been able to install it properly. I did exactly as the Readme file said, but when I try to open the patched rom nothing happens.
Help! I don't know what I did wrong...
