General Discussion / Re: The $%*! frustration thread
« on: May 18, 2009, 08:44:46 pm »
By your example, it remains plausible that I.R. Baboon is in fact so wise and aware that he need say nothing else...

My frustration: I just spent half an hour of my life watching Hi-5 (for those of you who are not familiar with the show, it basically consists of a group of five fellows jumping around and singing songs to entertain chilren who are sat in front of the TV when mothers are too busy to watch them). The lil' nephew decided to start crying his brains out unless I sat with him to watch...

It also frustrates me that my frustration is so mundane and meaningless. It's just further proof that my life sucks right now.

Ughh... life sucks at times, doesn't it? I'm down in a hole...

Currently listening to mum...

PLEASE LISTEN.  One of the best bands of all time...

This was really nice. I'd never heard of this band before.
Huh, the first half of the song reminded me a lot of Thom Yorke's solo album.

It's a song about Peeps!! If you need to know more it's probably not the song for you, but you should check it out anyways because they come in many flavors even sugar free!!!

Peeps... unfair, I've never had any. I do remember an episode of Malcolm in the Middle in which Francis ate like a 100 of them, though...
Catchy, weird ass song...

Oh, also

Hell yeah!
I love these guys, I love that Cedric and Omar gave birth to The Mars Volta after this, I love that I have to read Cedrics lyric's 5 times before they make some sort of sense to me...

One of the oddest, most surreal artists I've had the pleasure of listening to in my whole, albeit short, life.
All hail the great Captain Beefheart, I say!

Worry not, the compendiumites seem to be a friendly bunch.

Welcome! (fun, you're being welcomed by a newbie, heh)

Well, despite the grim circunstances depicted in your last comic, I enjoyed it just as much as the others.

I really hope you keep working on them. I really feel that what the Compendium needs right now is support from its members to get back on its feet after the seemingly mortal blow dealt by SE.

Great work as always, Mr Bekkler. I'll look forward to whatever pieces you decide to share with us in the future.

Well, I'm curious about people's musical tastes, so wherever I go I tend to start the sort of conversation that leads to music sharing and debating…
Anyway, here’s a thread where you can share music videos or stuff you like or find interesting.

And yeah, this is NOT a “post an endless list of bands-I-heart-4evah” kinda thread. Also, try not to bash people’s tastes too harshly (guidelines established at V’ request, lol)

So! Let’s see what music us Chrono addicts enjoy, I'll go first:

To honor my avatar and sig, I'll begin with mah "you've all heard this before" favorites

Radiohead - Idioteque, Live at Glastonbury on '03. This concert made me get into this guys...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5-O5kNTfrI&feature=PlayList&p=4F6C3788F89FD70D&index=57

Sonic Youth - Teenage Riot, cause Daydream Nation kicked ass...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdeTQPgh9SE

Porno for Pyros - Pets. I know, I know, it ain't Jane's Addiction, but I'm in a mood for PfP right now, and it's still Farrell, right? :)... Though I haven't forgiven him yet for starting "Satellite Party". Even the name sucks, jeez...

Since some people apparently don't read the first posts.

Kinda wish there was a thread dedicated to music. I'm always curious 'bout people's musical tastes.

Hmm, would you like that? yes? no?

I thought Lavos was the bug and Crono & co were the antibodies... but whatever... The Epoch would be the needle  :D

...the shell is just the skin, form 2 is a ribcage and the last form is it's heart

Makes sense to me
