General Discussion / Chrono Hentai
« on: July 06, 2005, 07:53:40 pm »
Ah, hentai.  A guilty pleasure of mine, admittedly.

I've spent my fair share of time searching for CT hentai.  Think what you will of me; I'm a completist and I enjoy porn.

In any case, the CT pickings are indeed slim.  One phenomenon that I've noticed is that CT hentai is limited almost exclusively to Yuri pics-- girl on girl.  CT is one of the only series to have such an overwhelming yuri fanbase.  There's an obvious reason for this, in that the girls are the only *normal* people that the fanartists have to work with.  I mean, for guys they have Magus, Crono, Robo and Frog-- and those last two aren't really what anyone wants to look at in a sexual context.

In the doujinshi I've collected, there's a touch of yaoi (specifically Magus/Crono and Glenn/Cyrus) and yaoi involving Flea/Magus (although anything involving Flea defies easy categorization) I have nothing hardcore, not even a kiss- just cuddling and overtones.

I also have a tiny bit of straight stuff.  There's a japanese doujin fron '95 or so that I only own in digital form (hence it not being on my site) that features Crono/Lucca; I also have a sweet Lucca/Glenn and the usual gag setup pairings of Lucca/Magus and Crono/Marle.

Were I to quantify my findings of actual hardcore SEX images, I have found a total of 3.5  CT hentai full-length stories; Zone 8, of course, the cutepet Schala/Marle previously mentioned, the Lucca/Crono mentioned above, and a Lucca/Ayla I got about fifteen pages into before I stopped working on it.  For pictures, I have about 30 saved on my HD; I've saved even the crappy ones, though, (completist) so to count the GOOD images cuts it down to 15.

Considering the size and scope of teh intarweb, that's pretty sad.

As I'm switching coasts, I'm not going to have my scanner or CT stuff available for a month as it's in transit across the country.  If you can wait that long, I'll scan those for you.

Other Topics and the Prerelease / Chrono Trigger Jump version

I just bought the long-searched for Jump release:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5180586644&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

However, I'm not sure if the game data is any different between it and the official famicom release.  If anyone knows if it IS different--and if there are no ROMS for it already-- I'd be willing to send it to whoever can rip the ROM data for it.

At this point I think I own every piece of official CT merchandise except for the American store display poster.

I have both the PSX and Super Famicom versions, but am not interested in scanning them in their entirety unless it's for a full translation.  If you need just certain pages, I'd be happy to provide those, however.

Polling / 2/5/05 - How much Chrono series merchandise do you own?

I voted that I'd like to rival my own collection...  once I figure out how I can do so.  Hehe.

Also, remember people's inboxes crap out occasionally or they accidentally delete something they didn't intend to.  I'd send a second or even third request before I'd consider it a personal insult.

Hey Chickenlump, do you want an original Nu portrait for your hack?  I'll make one up for you if you like, and send it over as a .bmp.

If you need photoshopping for the small buttons, I can help out with the full set if you want to make them in the scheme I mentioned above-- or any other scheme, for that matter.

I like V_ Translanka's idea, very much, actually.  If there was some way we could transport that basic design into a forum...

How about this: the current bright blue bars that go across the page would be replaced with the gradiated mottled gray text background.  The light blue/white hues of text boxes would be light grey/white.  All the buttons will be written in the CT font and use icons from the game-- status effects, menu icons, and of course the gloved pointer.  Hmmm, I like the sound of that.

You've got my help, if you need it.  Now that I know the level of the undertaking you're going for here, I'll be happy to provide all the scans I have in my Japanese guides or doujinshi-- I'll also help out with images, later on, for the redesigned look, if you like.

General Discussion / About the official Continuation of the series

The remake was released in America after CC-- however, in Japan, it was released one month prior to the release of CC, in order to hype up the new game.
