ATLAS SHRUGGED: Selfish industrialist destroys economy.
Oddly accurate compared to their others.

There's also this one.

Quote
RAMBO III: The United States provides arms, equipment and training to the terrorists behind 9/11.

Based on a true story?

Also...

Quote
RED DAWN: Despite shock-and-awe tactics, a superior occupying force is no match for a tenacious sect of terrorist insurgents.

Ha ha ha, I see what they did there.

Robot Penguins.  If you needed anything to prove that science has not ceased to progress into the realms of awesome innovations, this is it!

Edit:

And in the realm of humanoid robots, Japan has this

Anyone else view these while humming the theme from Terminator?  Just wondering.

Edit2:

And this is just kind of sad.

If you want, you could always read through random Youtube comments for an hour to make the GameFAQs forums seem smarter.

That said, it's sad that you can always find a dumber group out there.

Can someone close the internet @#$!$ frustration thread I made.   People think I am a troll whne I am not.

I hate how the internet is so unforgiving.  Jesus said to forgive others and nobody seems to give a s--t abou that.
You can lock or delete your own topics.

Also, we are forgiving.  I have a strong feeling that a lot of people wish to say many mean spirited things towards you regarding your attitude towards others here and multiple threads about nearly the same topic, but out of decency refrain from doing so.

(though doesn't Sony own some stock or some such in Square still...?)

I don't think so, but I do know that in the late 90s Squaresoft signed on for a number of exclusive titles to be released for Sony.  I think that's what's preventing any of the PS1 ports from being released outside of PSP or PS3s online market.

Now a "remake" of Chrono Cross for the DS may be doable, working around their old agreement with Sony.  Change the graphics, add features, tweak the systems around and suddenly it's not the same game on a different system, and Sony has no rights to claim the title as their exlusive property anymore.

Of course, the PSP basically being a portable PS1 with UMD video hardware makes porting there a lot easier.

Thanks for all of the help, though I have to agree with Ramsus, the UI for these editors is a little overwhelming at first, especially since I've never worked with anything along these lines before.

Hopefully after a while of experimenting around (And possibly finding some tutorials) I can start laying down some tracks.

Seriously Triforce, we don't need a new frustration thread for each individual category of frustrations.  Next there'll be a "Video Game $%*! frustration thread" and a "Relationship $%*! frustration thread" and a "School/Work $%*! frustration thread".

It's not needed. :picardno

General Discussion / Re: Earth Day
« on: April 23, 2009, 10:07:52 pm »
Nothing.  I hope the Earth doesn't hold it against me.

Seriously though, Earth Day is stupid.  Either work for a cleaner, healthier environment or don't.  Taking one day out of the year to recognize being kinder and gentler to our planet basically labels the 364 other days as less important.  Plant trees whenever you want, recycle when you want, save energy when you can.  Those goals should be prevalent every day, not just one.

Also relating to the subject, pollution won't destroy the planet, and eco-nazis who've successfully led 1 out of 3 children to believe the Earth won't be around when they grow up should be beaten with a stupid stick.  Our ecosystem isn't immortal, but it's also not weak.  The planet has survived meteors, ice ages, ages with no icecaps at all, and other things that the greenest of green thumbs think would be absolutely catastrophic today.  It wouldn't be nice, it wouldn't be fun, and many animals and people would undoubtedly be pressed so hard that mass migration, adaptation or even death would result, but the planet would go on.

So my motto, do what's best for humanity and care for the world as best we can, while being realistic.

New DLCs coming for Fallout 3 and Fable II next month, and all I really want is a DLC for Mass Effect...

*Sigh*   :?

Resident Evil 5:  Playing this one off and on, keeping it co-op with my roomate since 1 player alone is a pain in the ass.  So far it's pretty damn good.  I can't compare it to any earlier RE games though since I've never played any of them.  Unfortunately games like Tomb Raider and Fear Effect (ugh) turned me off to the 3rd person shooter genre back in the PSX days.  Not without its faults, but it's pretty fun in the co-op mode.

I don't think being freelance really effects anything but his pocketbook.
Well he's not bound to being exclusively a SquareEnix staff member.

Meh if there's a new Chrono game Mitsuda has got to be in it. And he said he did want to come back should another game be planned. And probably Nobuteru Yuuki as well, I liked his designs in Chrono Cross. Though I wouldn't mind Toriyama either, provided it's done like DQVIII.
Toriyama does have a lot of work done with Mistwalker already with the three Blue Dragon games, so he'd be a possible candidate for returning.

It's probably photoshop.  The image was made with Photoshop CS3 anyways, and has no camera data attached.

Hooray for Exif data!

Regardless, that's very well done.
