General Discussion / Re: How often do you swear?
« on: December 13, 2009, 06:27:21 pm »
I swear sometimes, though I try not to go with the stronger ones like the f and s words. From what I understand, curse words have always been around, but they were, at one time or another, words used to show pure anger or malice towards someone or something. Although today, for most people, it's just part of the common language, mostly used as dead descriptive words.

I started off using them as words of anger, or just to get peoples attention so they stop dicking around. Though I got used to saying some of the words like damn so often, they are slowly becoming part of my vocabulary

That's sort of ironic, seeing how I play trombone in band. I played it for marching season and am continuing on it for concert season, but lately I've just seen it as a hobby instrument for playing random tunes based on how I feel(which I was thankfully able to do today). Still, thanks for the suggestions. My passion has a place now!

Thirded. Asifagow, translate your powerful emotions into something! Visual artistry, the written word, C++, even a lump of clay -- you have the potential to bring forth an act of creation. And that is the most divine thing any human can experience. It doesn't matter what kind of passion you're experiencing; if it's that powerful as to torment you, it is worth communicating through some medium.

Thank you Faust, Lord J and Bekkler for the suggestion. I think I will look into that.

Ah, things I truly hate...

Today's topic would be passion. It's not that hate passion in itself. It's that whenever I obtain the burning desire that is passion, I have no where and no way to output the emotion and energy, thus I fall into a state of almost complete insanity. oi! :picardno

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Re: Why are you here?
« on: November 30, 2009, 12:55:15 pm »
Last year, my friend(HyperNerd for those of you who remember him) had shown me the game on his emulater. They had just started advertising the DS version on TV, so he persuaded me to get it. I got for christmas and finished it in about a week. Then he showed me this sight and got me to join. What mainly got my attention was the RP section(which I need to revisit), but SoY and the encyclopedia data base have also be very helpful.

Hello Trebuchet(may I call you treb?). Video games are awesome, but mind numbing and I play them too often, so I just think it'd be better to play them a little less. And by the way, I've used spell check a plenty since I started back up, so SHUT UP!(please and thank you :D )

General Discussion / Re: What are you afraid of?
« on: November 30, 2009, 12:32:39 am »
I try not to be afraid. With that kind of power I could do so much. I guess the few things I'm afraid of are horror films, but I don't really care seeing how it's my choise to watch them or not.

@Acacia: I haven't decided yet if I want to return. There were so many reasons why I quit in the first place(plus I don't think my brain could handle reading the whole thing through). In fact, I came up with a good idea for a new RP earlier today, but I still need some time to refine it. Plus, how could I leave forever if I never said good-bye?

@Sajainta: Why hello there, nice to meet you, too.

@GenesisOne: I don't think I missed much either
