Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / Re: Chrono Trigger Perfect Bible - New CTDS Guidebook
« on: December 01, 2008, 03:13:39 pm »Does anyone else have perhaps any specific questions they'd like to ask about the content of the guide? I apologize if previous answers were general, but so were the questions, so I'd rather not have to post large chunks of information because people just wanted to know the broad strokes of the guide.^_^;; I apologize for the laziness, but college work here in Kyoto can do that to a person.
How about anything information you think would be worth mention. Such as whatever the guide mentions about the new content if that isn't to much trouble.

Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / Re: Just Got My Copy
« on: December 01, 2008, 03:09:35 pm »Just give it a Feral Claw every time you send it out till it learns one.
That will make it change into another creature not learn a tech. I think the best way is to save before you attempt to teach it any elemental tech. If it fails load the save before you sent it out and try again. I managed to get mine to learn three of them quite quickly doing this. Also it seems you can only have three elemental techs in case you are wondering.

I figured I would give him a pair of legs that could only be seen during certain movements. Otherwise he would have been more like a slug in how he moved.

Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / Re: CTDS New Ending =o
« on: November 28, 2008, 09:02:16 pm »Some speculation is that the Dream Devourer is the completed, matured Time Devourer. I hadn't heard that until today... I have been more inclined to think that the Dream Devourer is an infant version of the Time Devourer... Opinions?
It probably is in the early stage of it's transformation into the Time Devourer. So no I don't think the Dream Devourer is a completed Time Devourer.

Well this sounds somewhat disappointing. You would think they would include an interview or such in it to explain some of the aspects of the new content.

Yep the new ending pretty confirms that origin of the Time Devourer and how it tied into Chrono Cross.

That is quite odd do they think we wouldn't like an option to switch it into Japanese if we wanted to? After all it took extra work to remove it so I wonder why they bothered to do that in the first place.

Yep for those who have the USA version of the game can only play in English. I wonder why they decided to remove the option to play the in Japanese if you really wanted to.

Eventually a chart needs to be made to track which creature turns into for each time period. Also the best way it seems to learn techs is to save before you send it out then wait ten minutes and then check up on it. If it didn't learn it just go to the save before you sent it out for training and try again.

Actually it takes 10 minutes for your creature to return after you send it out for training.
