ARe you kidding me? Hey, I'llbe honest with you. I did find it useful when I was trying to decide how many of each tab I needed. How did you figure out the stats for people at Level 1? Did you have to hack the game?

This is a little weird. I got Chrono Trigger by complete chance. When I was four-ish, I was with my mom at some store. We were walking past the SNES section, when the CT box caught my mom's eye. The first thing she said was that the art was drawn by the animator of DBZ. Now, you've got to realize that we had just moved from Japan to the States, and my mom loved anything Japan-related. So, she bought the game and the strategy guide. She didn't let me play it, since she said I was too young. We then forgot about the game until about three years ago. I was looking for SNES games to play, and out popped out CT! I remembered buying it and secretly playing it once in a while, so I put it in the SNES and started it up. I was immediately hooked, and just blazed through it (many, many times). I've recently begun playing tid-bits of CC at a friend's house.

I still don't get why you guys even like Ayla! She barely has any storyline. She only has two are three really good scenes. She has no depth!

I think it was on Game FAQS, but I saw one where it just listed all the character stats for each character for every level. It was the single most tedious thing in the world! It really didn't help at all...

Yeah. It's pretty interesting when you learn about how different images and symbols pop up in various cultures. Some people call it "the collective unconscience", but it might be that the Crono world has something like that too.

Sorry, I've been out all week on vacation, and didn't even come here for the whole time. So here goes with describing my reasons!
Magus-well, it's pretty obvious here. I haven't played any game in my life that had a character as deep as Magus/Janus. The whole idea of him "surviving through the darkness" to get revenge Lavos...OMG. I'm sure everyone agrees with me here.
Frog-I chose Frog as my second choice, because I love his dedication to his friend Cyrus. I'm amazed at how well Square was able to develop this perfect and eternal friendship between Glenn and Cyrus. I mean, Frog was willing to risk his life to restore honor to Cyrus and exact his revenge, when he and Crono went to Magus' castle. You just have to love this guy.
Robo-discussed in earlier quote
Crono-I know, I know. I put the main character near the middle of the list. I want you to know that it was NOT because he doesn't talk. I'm not that shallow. I just don't find many places in the game where Crono really stands out. Sure, he has his moments. When he agrees to fight Lavos at Arris Dome. When he tells Melchior that he'll stand up against Zeal. When he tries to destroy the Mammon Machine, etc. ect. etc. But the fact is, he's the protagonist of the game! At least that much is expected of him, if not more! I know I'm being a little too critical of him, but I find so many of the other characters attractive, that they just blot Crono out.
Lucca- She isn't that different from Crono. She has even fewer important scenes in the story. In fact, you don't even need to have her in your party for most of the whole game. She's just sort of there, kicking ass with Flare. Yeah, she's good on the battlefield, but not much of the storyline revolves around her.

Sorry, but even if you have already have the Masamune and the Hero Medal, you still have to go through the whole Dreamstone thing. I bet the game's programmed so that Frog doesn't join you until after Melchior reforges the Masamune.
