Hehe I know what you guys mean. But then again, I didn't really say they were connected. All I said was the base plot were so darn similar that IF the two worlds had been one and the same then Lavos and Jenova would have been one and the same with just two different names! xD And probably the two groups of warriors would have probably been fighting one single enemy at the same time! Come to think of it, it'd make a great crossover! o.o" Wouldn't you say?

xD I'd say Lucca has some... *coughs* with Glenn, coz she's lonely, then he dumps her coz of yadda yadda and then she makes an orphanage. Lol, not my fault she called him a "dish"!
Anywhos, I doubt the creators ever mentioned the death of Lucca, Crono, Magus, Glenn and Marle. But we could play charades on this.

Cloud is a great character pulling off his best at everything, a very agile and strong character. However, Sephiroth was far superior. But he only managed to be a "Bad ass" due to Jenova transformation and blah blah black materia and blah blah. Cloud won with the help of his comrades. Serge is an a-okay character, that doesn't fall behind and is good enough. XD But he isn't the strongest, either. Now Crono, on the other hand is an excellent swordsman, dishing out furious attacks skillfully (Akira's imagination!) and summoning heavenly excellent lightning magic at an outrageously young age!! O_O
And now it's time for Magus. Seriously, you people must've noticed. As an in-game (or story character) he seemed heckuva lot powerful. Yeah, the elemental barriers, turning people to frog, casting unbreakable ice-magic to petrify people, and instantly killing spells, etc. But when you PLAY him as a character, he has none of it. -.- Just the 3 basic elements and 3 shadow spells, with magic wall as supportive. Kinda seems like he's hiding his TRUE power no matter what the f*** the opponent gives. >.> Lol! That's entirely the reason why I think he's really scary and powerful. So I vote for him. xD

xD I liked all the options, but I'd rather stick to my own opinion. *ahem* Chrono Cross is a good game, but if I managed to hack it then I'd change, well, everything!
For one, I'd change the setting of the story. Being good at storyboard plotting, I'll manage to do that with sufficient amount of time, linking it properly to Chrono Trigger/Radical Dreamers with great respect. Although, I wouldn't intend to "revive" some of the dead characters (well, I could revive Magus). I wouldn't really remove the characters already playable in-game, except for a few useless ones, and group them accordingly; say a group of playable characters that are involved with the story greatly and have good personally developments, and another group of playable characters who aren't useful for the story and are just there for fun's sake, except for minor side-quests/stories (I'll give that to all characters) and certain secrets. So the major characters would only be a few.
Next, I'll keep the current stamina battle system with innate, but somehow shorten the LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG battle transitions. Well, an active battle would be great too. xD I'd also give Guile a priority, and at a certain point revealing his true identity as (duh!) Magus, where all his old spells and stuff is unlocked. The character will then change his appearance from Guile to CT style Magus. He will be the one to rescue Schalla. And pretty much, I'd say that the so called "Time Devourer" really sucked! =_= Lavos seemed more intimidating than it. SO I'd change EVERYTHING about it, giving it a far more scarier appearance and battle formations than Lavos, including it's spells and skills. FATE also sucked, and I'd do the same with it.
Another thing that would make CT fans cling onto Cross hack. xD Secret playable characters that have some connection with the old CT. Give the characters more background story, and making them interact with other playable characters to give more depth. Give more skills and spells. Enable exploration outside El Nido, including exploring Guardia and Medina, etc. Implement Time Travel. Make Glenn learn about Frog (LOL). The true mystery of Ayla and Leah. Ayla's baby (W00T). Several alternatives resulting in several different timeline effects. Secret bosses and items.
Okay, I think I mentioned too much. But I must say I have a LOT more ideas where THAT little thing came from. XD So you can see, I wanna do everything in my power to (BE A GOD AND) change the game and make it several times interesting driving the gameplay to it's apex. Plus, I hated the way it connected with Chrono Trigger, so yeah.
P.S.: Did I mention I WOULDN'T let Prometheus (Robo) die either?! And someone *secret* appears and fixes him?

Even if you can just load up models with Luminaire's script and take screencaps, it's better than I can do right now -- I think my ATI Express graphics card chokes on the program, and when I fiddle with the graphics card settings, my PC tends to crash randomly.Well I use Blender at my workspace normally, but I assume it works at home as well. :lol:And besides, just this June I reckon I'll be buying a PC with 4GB DDR 2 RAM and GeForce 8800 GTS! So how do I do what I need to do?

CT: Done a bit of thinking. Long ago, Lavos crashed into the planet, causing the extinction of the reptites (with the help of humans) and infused the humans with a little of his power which created magic and controlled the evolution of humans. This leads to the kingdom of Zeal, where Magic was the source of power. But Lavos was a parasite to the planet, a threat to the planet, and was to be eliminated. And so, the legendary Dragons of the Dragonian emerge and fight back!
FF7: Long ago, a meteor crashed earth causing a great damage to the planet. The planet was able to heal itself after as ages passed, but the meteor began to infect the lifestream (or whatever). "The calamity from the heavens" was called the "Jenova", and was a threat to the planet. The planet created the WEAPONS in order to fight back. xD
Another note: Humans with strong magical powers were linked with Lavos somehow in the kingdom of Zeal. Also, many powerful and magical warriors called SOLDIERS were ALSO infused with Jenova cells.

« on: May 28, 2008, 11:07:04 am »Well, it sure beats their Japanese names (Vinegar, Soy Sauce, and Mayonnaise). A lot of names were changed in the English version, probably to Westernize it. And their prior names were kinda silly (not to say Ozzie, Slash, and Flea are by any means normal names, but yeah). Either way, the name changes are intentional and by no means a coincidence.xD Ya know something, if you know the character designer of Chrono Trigger you'd ALSO know that he's FAMOUS for giving food ingredients as names for his characters!
Yep, Akira Toriyama! (Big fan of his though <3) Especially in his Dragonball series, you can see he's named a lot of characters as "Garlic, Garlic Jr., Spice, Vinegar, etc." And if you've played Crono Chross, you'd notice that the characters Solt, Peppor and Ketchop were actually inspired by his creativity. ;o

Whoa, looks cool!! xD I wanna try ripping the models and using em! Although I've simply used Metsequoia and Animation:Master (I don't know em properly though) and just started using blender. Dunno how I can help you guys.
