Magic, Elements, and Technology / Re: The Nature of Shadow
« on: July 23, 2010, 03:56:44 pm »
How I took it, Fire and Water are opposites. Shadow and Light are opposites. Just as white and black are. Light and Shadow are void, aether, the fifth element. It is both light and darkness, it is neither. Light is the absence of all elements, while Shadow is the combination of all elements. Maybe a before and after...

It's also displayed in the characters, Crono and Magus are equal opposites, just as their magic is.

The Epoch certainly does seem to have sentient qualities. However I believe the fact it travels time differently than the gates (thus bypassing the Conservation of Time). Not only that, three people are traveling within it. Now, we can argue that a pregnant woman might cause some chaos in the space-time continuum, but I believe the fact that it is within the being, that it still counts as part of that being. Using the Epoch (if the Conservation of Time still applies to it, if it creates its own temporary gates) means only one entity is traveling through time.

Another question, Magus' gate. Four people entered, yet they were cast into different time periods, rather than ending up at the End of Time. This may be Lavos' influence, and the fact that Magus remained in the center while Crono & co. were spun around, and being such a large gate, the center (Magus) went one place, while the orbiting party was cast elsewhere. Thoughts?

People driving on state highways need to be traveling faster than 40 MPH. If they can't travel within 5 MPH of the posted speed limit sign (typically 55 MPH), they should find an alternate route, and get (the frak) out of my way!

I hate being held up.

This.

Also, people driving at or below the speed limit in the left lane. That's for people wanting to actually go somewhere. If you aren't passing someone or driving fast, get out of the way. And while we're on the subject, don't attempt to pass someone by going only 1mph faster than them, when I'm coming up behind you going >10mph faster.

Waiting on the perfect job, and they keep pushing back the hiring date over and over and over...

Also, can't go running when it storms. Tried using the exercise bike I found in the basement...It catches constantly so I can't pedal more than one rotation without stopping. I'd shoot it if I thought it would help.

It is? I thought it was still at least frowned upon...I mean, I understand doing it because that way if someone already read it, they'll know you've added something, but afterward (a week? another post?) I think people should edit & delete just for aesthetics' sake...

I've always thought the opposite.

Before a day/week (depending on how active the forum is):
- edit your post. It's likely no one's had the chance to read it yet.

After a day/week:
- Double post. People have had a chance to read it, no one's responded yet, and you've had something to say. Say it in a new post, letting everyone know there's something new going on.
