Chrono Compendium Discussion / Re: Encyclopedia needs Editing
« on: August 08, 2019, 03:15:24 pm »Mt. Woe and both S.S. locations from CC have the same issue. I passed that one on. The data is there, but I think the period is tripping things up.
Have you gotten any generalized errors on the same page twice, other than the ones mentioned above?
What page had the Truce Canyon link wrong?
I updated Truce Canyon to include Blue Imps and Polies.
Thanks!
Another thing: the Dragon Tank only has 2 levels listed, but 3 parts. is that normal?

Browser: Chrome
Mt Woe entrydoesn't work at all, Truce Canyon from the encyclopedia sends to Music Tune, generalised occasional error page when clicking on "Enyclopaedia" on the sidebar, Truce Canyon doesn't list Blue imps (I know I'm nitpicking)

Haven't reached that point yet

Chrono Trigger Modification / Re: New Tech Editor
« on: August 07, 2019, 03:36:42 pm »It shouldn't be everyone, but it would apply in multiple places.
There's 1 unique control header for each character. Each control header loads 1 of three effect headers. Trying to change Crono's effect header will apply to Frog, Robo, and Magus. Trying to change Marle's control header will apply to her melee, ranged, and critical attacks.
Yeah that makes sense, shared stuff to save space. I wonder if this is true also in the Steam port.

Is it normal that trying to change the critical hit formula of one character applies it to everyone else?

Chrono Trigger Modification / Re: Temporal Flux Plugins
« on: August 07, 2019, 08:04:03 am »Warrior Workshop:
- Expanded Stats at level chart to go from 1-max level for all characters.
- Added button to set stats to current level.
- Stats at the starting level that do not match the growth for that level now display in red in the stat to level chart.
- Stat growth can now be altered to allow growth for any stat, individual stat caps, or fixed values for any stat. This is automatically applied when changing stat caps, adding speed growth, or disabling any other stat's growth.
Fantastic Stuff.

Chrono Trigger Modification / Re: Steam CT Mods?

Some interesting findings in this board about the steam CT version: https://trello.com/invite/b/BnoJAiFS/ca312bf3c0d04088733cde70637e4f11/chrono-trigger
In short:
- there is no ROM, it's built on the mobile port
- SOME editing is possible with Temporal Flux, but only with some hex editing (tested only with maps)
- there's a lot extra data in the PC version that Temporal Flux cannot read
Thanks to themadpatter for these findings.

Chrono Trigger Modification / Re: Steam CT Mods?
« on: August 04, 2019, 03:45:06 pm »HP/MP is mostly a display issue in the SNES version. Other than the space available, going to 65535 on both is possible.
Multi-elemental techs... probably not. Even if you were to store multiple element flags on one tech, in most cases it would just apply one. I doubt any recode would change that behavior unless they had more expansion plans.
Tragic, but true.

I wonder if the Steam version actually allows for higher HP/MP and if multi-elemental techs made it, rather than simply making everything Shadow damage.

https://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Modification.html#Steam
I use that, but for the life of me I cannot make anything out of anything different than audio or images. Direct manipulation of game files could supersede, sort of, Temporal Flux and its plugins. Or perhaps Temporal Flux could be made to work with those.

Besides the music, which is moddable, what else is it possible to do wth the steam version of CT? Would Temporal Flux even work?
