Site Updates / Re: Lavos Did Not Control Evolution

So I was right.
I mean, it was obvious. Why would Magus know anything about an alien lifeform? Just because he lived in Zeal? Nah, not even the Queen knew such things. =P

Zeality, you're awesome. <3

Simple: I liked the "complications".
Anyways, just drop it.

you could do the exact same thing in Chrono cross, which also had a new game plus.

I could fight Yakra at level 56 without new game+ on CT if I wanted to.
I could be level30 by the time I fight Croco for the first time in smrpg.
After that I'll repeat myself...You can't read.
No need to keep this up. Drop it.

.... You've discovered the secert of CC: star levels will always raise the same..*looks at the rest of rpg world.* oh wait...
yeah... I'm gonna go with what the fuck is your point on that one.

You can't read.

true, hitler being a prime example.  :D
I hereby summon Godwin's Law.
[...]the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically "lost" whatever debate was in progress.[...]
No need to keep arguing. =D
However, I'll repeat myself: people have different opinions, get over it.

Fanboys are just...jeez! :P

I just love how whenever a game dares have a leveling system that differs from the tried and true "fight, gain exp, level up, repeat until you're god" formula, its automatically sucks.
It sucks because you're limited to x levels where x is the number of bosses. wtf kind of fucked up system is that? What is the fun part of such a linear leveling system?

Junction, Star Level, Sphere Grid, whatever.  I'm sure I’ll be hearing the same thing about FF XII's License Board in a few months.
Junction was awesome. Dunno wtf is Star Level. Sphere Grid? Fucking rocked. FF12's system is pretty retarded. It sounds like it's just a board game or something. o_O

There's nothing wrong with CC's level system.  Its just different.  I actually found easier than most systems.  Beat a boss, get a stat boost.  What could be simpler?
Of course it's easier. It's linear, it can't be different. Play the game 28940 times, you'll get the same number of levels you had at the same part of the game in your last play through.

People just have different opinions. Get over it.

Happy birthday dude. <3

CC wasn't that great. Battles feel pointless

CC got one of the best battle systems in the history of RPGs. Better than CT's even.

But it did come with a shitty leveling system.
Yep. It was stupid.

Of course CT got plot holes. *Anything* that messes with time travel will *always* have TIME PARADOX.
As for CC, I still don't like it that much. It had nothing of Chrono in it, and the plot wasn't even about "crono" (read: fucking up time with stuff like time travel).
Even RD was better than CC imo.
EDIT: also, there's no need for a crusade to defend CC. If people love CC that much, why bother? =P

General Discussion / Your TOP 10 PS2 Games

Shadow of the Colossus.
The rest are just games.

RD wasn't supposed to be a CT sequel in first place.
CC is a cool game, and it is CT's sequel (as much as RD is, like it or not). I myself like to think of RD as CT's sequel, and simply consider CC another series.
Whoever said that CC got rid of CT's plotholes is a fucking liar. It simply added a few more to the Chrono series.

Does anyone know what's Luminaire's name on the japanese version?

Have we not been saying compare Lavos' overworld sprite to Death Peak's overworld sprite...?  He just added pictures to it...
I already said, I remembered Lavos OW sprite as the same size of the one of Lavos falling on the planet. =P The pictures showed me otherwise~

Can't believe no one has posted this yet. You know there's a lot more opinions here than really anything actually from the game.

Also as a note, not sure if this affected it or not, but I went to 1999 AD first. Then when I warped to the future I was at the position in the screen above.

No opinion just something real for once here.
Oh finally! Some evidence from their side! =D
I remebered Lavos to be a lot smaller than that. Like, I thought he was the same size as crono's map sprite.
Now that I saw those pics... Yeah, Lavos = Death Peak! =P
JossiRossi wins the internet today.
