You people must be blind. Lavos looks like neither a Scottish terrier NOR Richard Simmons!

I rated him as a C. You need to read more carefully, friend.

I rated him as such due to that.

Lamers. Turnip is effortlessly better than a bevy of others, like Korcha, Macha, Zoah, Mel, Irenes, Neo-Fio, Luccia, Starky, etc.
I don't disagree except for POSSIBLY Irenes. The others I agree with you on.

My point stands, however. Fantastic, intriguing themes or no, the execution is far more important, and Turnip fails in that regard.

Character Design: His design would be absolutely awesome in a game where all of the characters are based on foodstuffs. As it is, it's still pretty damned good.

Combat Usefulness: I don't recall ever actually using him though.

Tilt: Zeality has a point...the themes he espouses are quite intriguing. Unfortunately the execution is extremely poor...instead of combining it with the main story they dumped the themes into a character most people wouldn't even know existed in the game, let alone how to get him. Furthermore, it isn't expanded upon anywhere near as much as it should have been.,

As a result I cannot fairly rate Turnip highly. Sorry, Zeality, but you're wrong here.

Final Grade: C.

Basically, Thought, what our icy friend here means by realism is not the actual events themselves but the themes and the nature of the story. It feels more real because it's much more serious and grown-up, for lack of a better word.

Character Design: Is it just me, or does she look like a combination of Edea and some sort of proto-Yuna?

Combat Usefulness: Her techs were supposed to be summons, but I never used her.

Tilt: She affects a major part of the storyline when it comes to both restoring Serge to his original body as well as forging the Chrono Cross, but...on her own she's not much of a character. In fact, I think she could've gone for guest PC status at best. She had little development of her own beyond the interesting bits we saw with her double.

Final Grade: C.

Wait a sec, who is on the moderation team? I know all The admins but none of the mods. I have been here for half a year and I still don't know them :?
That's because there aren't any.

I was speaking more of the quality of the dubbing as a whole. They tend to shift terms, sometimes even within an episode, occasionally referring to a supercomputer as a supercalculator. I can understand why that might happen--bad or literal translations--but it should be caught in script writing.

Then there's the fact that many things said are...well...stupid. The show is hardly deep, obviously, but still...it's almost too simple with some of the dialog.

That said, in it's own way it's still better than many things I've seen that were created in the United States, and I am mildly fond of Aelita.

Character Design: For a while I thought he was your bog-standard utterly stupid misunderstanding of biology Grey, but it turns out he's actually some sort of bastardized Nu. Go figure. It's still stupid.

Combat Usefulness: He's a very powerful white element and you can first get him at a time when that's really, REALLY useful. But after that, he's not too great, unless you want a super White team, in which case you can go back to the KKK you racist.

Tilt: Sure, he's adorable, and sure, aliens were already introduced in Chrono Trigger so it's not that unusual(Hi, those of you talking about aliens? Remember Lavos?!) but his purpose was so idiotic...I honestly don't see the point except for the possible seed planted for a future Chrono game in the ending featuring his species. Frankly, he's worthless. A much better way to solve the problem could've been used, and it is just another in the long line of utterly stupid reasons to introduce characters when your main party should figure this stuff out on their own!

Final Grade: D.

Always sad news to hear about someone dying. My condolences to his family and friends.

Character Design: It's an actual Mystic/Demon, rather than all of this demi-human crap! And she can turn into other things too!

Combat Usefulness: Absolutely valuable during that short little spat before you exit the dimensional vortex. After that I usually completely forget about her.

Tilt: She's interesting in her own way, though like with many of the characters I'd relegate her to guest PC status at most given how she disappears from the story after her small part is done.

Final Grade: C.

I've never heard one, but if I did it wouldn't be funny either. That kind of so-called "humor" sickens me. Laugh all you want, but it's my opinion and I'm not changing it.

The point is that it's not funny and not the sort of thing people should laugh about. Real people who wouldn't act without the sudden opportunities given them have their lives ruined by people like Chris Hanson. He makes the world worse for his own sordid amusement. It's disgusting.

I've occasionally glanced it's way, and it's typical of the American dubbing process: poorly thought out. It's set in France yet there are times when everyone acts as if they live in the United States. Dippies, all of them.
