General Discussion / Re: .... GOD F***ING DAMMIT HOLLYWOOOD

I don't think so. Plus, I don't think the voice of Kairi is the best voice for Marle anyway. (Not that Kairi's voice is bad, because it's not. It just doesn't suit Marle.)

General Discussion / Re: So tell me a little about yourselves.
« on: November 21, 2007, 04:53:01 pm »- How old are ya?
I am twenty years old, and will be twenty-one on March 24th of next year.
- When was your first experience with the Chrono games?
I think around 2001 when a friend briefly lent me their SNES. I didn't do very much with it because I couldn't figure out how to work the console at the time since before that I had never touched a console. (I was a pure PC gamer.) But the first time I finally played a game was playing the PSX Chrono Trigger in 2002 when a different friend lent it to me.
- Do you have a job? If so, what do you do...?
I don't have one right now, but with some luck and hard work I will be a sailor in the U.S. Navy within a few months.
- What's your favorite color?
Green.
- Would you rather listen to a techno remix of a Chrono song, or an orchestral arrangement?
I can enjoy both, but I would prefer an orchestral arrangement.
- What kinda computer are you running on?
I built it from parts from NewEgg. 2.42 GHz Dual Core processor, 2 gigabytes of RAM, 7900+ GTX video card, a very good soundcard that I probably spent too much on since I only ever use a headset...
- What's the last movie you saw in theaters?
Oh, damn...no idea...it's been awhile. Probably Firewall...I went to see it with my then girlfriend.
- Where are you from?
I was born in Georgia on March 24th, 1987. Moved to Middletown Ohio(more like Madison Township outside of Middletown...) in February of 1988. Moved to Oxnard California in July of 2000. Moved to Colorado in August of 2002, and have since been moving from house to house every year until we stabilized into this house, which we've stayed in for two years and will hopefully stay longer.
- And lastly... what would you prefer? A remake of Chrono Trigger or PS3, or a new sequel to CT/CC?
I would prefer any game to be on a console I actually own(or at least be something I could emulate.) I would prefer a sequel of some sort though, in the vein of Chrono Cross via expanding the universe rather than being a Chrono Trigger or Cross II.

Journey to the West character and Baker's daughter.
Were we the only two people to ever watch that miniseries, Zeality? Because I remember watching it for my fourteenth birthday...it was pretty awesome.

I think, Twilight Skies, that apart from you no one gives a damn.

General Discussion / Re: .... AHAHAHAHAHA
« on: November 19, 2007, 11:15:42 pm »I still don't get it.
I beat a full house with a full house on the river.
He beat me from the get go: the first three cards : 994 gave him a three of a kind, which beats me.
the turn (4th street.) gave him a full house, which dominated me.
And then I got a Q on the river: which made my full house better then his.
it's awesome because according to the statistical probability of winning, I only had a 3% chance of winning anything by the time the turn card came out.

Character Design: He's a big Nordic-style muscle man...but what's with the helmet? It makes no sense if he's not wearing any other armor...
Combat Usefulness: Despite his overly muscular appearance, he's actually not that useful.
Tilt: My FUCK what were they THINKING?! Someone who speaks in ALL CAPS is not a good character. I don't care if it's simply to represent a really deep/loud voice...it's ridiculous. Nothing about him is worthwhile. Really, Chrono Cross team, you batted .000 here.
Final Grade: D.

I would, but alas, I cannot, for I still lack East Asian Language support on this computer since the support randomly disappeared a long time ago.

General Discussion / Re: any cl fans out there?
« on: November 16, 2007, 05:04:07 pm »] because the anatomy is so fucked up at that point. I mean, if you can draw a body, why the hell would you put up a dexter's lab head up on there? why not even try to make it smaller. So? Plenty of animation styles exaggerate bodies and features. That's simply part of the animation style. Does the style truly suffer from it? Is it that big a distraction?
I'm not necessarily defending it per se. I'm just trying to figure out why a certain aspect of the animation style is so bothersome. It's not like they're exaggerating breast sizes, after all. (There you'd have me complaining.)

Character Design: Blacksmiths don't get anymore obvious than this.
Combat Usefulness: I don't recall ever using him, but I'm sure he's pretty decent.
Tilt: Being Karsh's father and as a result having the problems he does with the Home World Karsh disappearing and the Another World Karsh showing up plays on the heart, and develops his character very well. What's more, I think the Scottish accent that the translators gave him fits the character perfectly. He's a great guy, and the scene watching him work with himself is funny. Plus he gives you the Smith Spirit and that's damned useful.
He's not a top tier character...I think I'd still have relegated him to guest PC status...but he's certainly a good one.
Final Grade: B.

May I ask why the foreheads are all that bothersome? They're just part of the animation style from what I can tell.

That would be both funny and enjoyable because I love that song.
And sure, it's an odd thought, but so what, guys? Quit acting like you haven't had tons of thoughts like that yourselves. Not necessarily this identical thought nor would you necessarily share the thought, but you've had them.

Character Design: He's quite elaborate in his clothes, isn't he?
Combat Usefulness: Eh, sword-using yellow. Not much to write home about.
Tilt: General Viper is interesting in the way he follows Lynx's orders but is still a good guy at heart. He simply tries to do what is right(or at least what he sees as right) even if sometimes he goes down the wrong path.
Still...not PC material. Definitely not.

Special Event Polling / Re: Rate Cross Characters 41: Van
« on: November 11, 2007, 02:46:17 pm »
Character Design: He frowns a lot, but he has a solid taste in clothes and his frowning is chalked up to his poor childhood, which is easily understandable.
Combat Usefulness: He has a very interesting technique able to colour the field randomly, but as with many people I don't think I ever actually used him.
Tilt: He's probably one of the few actually interesting character studies when it comes to his alternates. In one he's a poor child desperately trying to paint for a living to survive. In the other he's a bored rich kid desperately hoping for some action of some sort. In both he has a strained relationship with his father. Fact is, Van had a huge amount of potential as a character.
Unfortunately, he suffered from the same syndrome everyone else suffered: too little time in the spotlight, not enough connection with the main story. It really is too bad, too, because he's a great potential character. If only something more had been done with him...
Final Grade: C.
