*Chronoverse composed of Four Elements ruling all physics: Shadow, Lightning, Fire, and Water
expanded chrono verse makes that
light shadow air earth((for some reason tornado falls under this)) water and fire

very true.. but I also think that the mystics variety of magic is innately different.. For instance in a game Ive been running(( lost an admin so everything has at the moment ground to a halt)) I disallowed mystics at first because they have no limiter keeping them from accesing innate magic from the start like most of the humans((outside of el nido)) do. however it would also seem that at least 75% of mystics((not to be confused with the el nido demihumans)) use shadow. and the elemental summons are dragon magic so also vewry differnt from the innate magic of chrono and crew.. although frog...... summoned that frog.... but that may very well have been a creation rather than a summon...

was actually going to say that he could probably open teh gates via will power and magic.. but the gates are gone... or most likely they went dormant...Im willing to bet that enough magical power could reopen a dormant gate. or as was stated ina differnet thread he could have just created on himself by that point

Serge's existance could cause a whole variety of different factors to come into play. It's possible that he may, for instance, prevent the creation of Robo, who was a key element in the defeat of Lavos. He might have also made it impossible for the Wings of Time to be completed in the ruined future, thanks to his presence affecting one person affecting another and so on and so forth eventually resulting in certain technologies not being developed until after 1999 when it would be too late.
ok conisdering the wings of time did not get completed until 2300 ad.. and balthazar was teleported directly to that time period and location. I Doubt anything odne in the past would have that big of an effect considering he could have built the damn thing from scrap... we wasnt a guru for nothing
'The destruction they are speaking of is Serge killing The time devourer making him evolve further((IMHO)) and destroying everything

ok if you deal with the fact that magic can bypass bend and in some instances break all normal physical laws... first off the clone was immediate. no cloning time in other words poof baby. Id say thats a significant change.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Re: Is Serge the father of Crono?
« on: August 20, 2007, 11:04:32 am »
actually there are things with far less credence...
examples ((am joking here please dont shoot me))
Chrono is own father or grandfather(eww)
frog becomes parent...
lucca nnd luccia hook up combine their brain power and make themselves a daughter out of toothpicks and twine((actually this one has more credence then most..............))
and all other manner of rediculous things

Dont forget ladies and gents that we are dealing with a magical clone and not a scientific one.. that changes the rules a bit

I would be more inclined to believe azala a female as the smarter dinosaurs were female((evidence of larger brains)) and beleived to have been more vicious((visious?)) and as far as kino goes.. how about the hidden village? possible that the old man there used to be chief? and ayla took over when he went into hiding..? and so took over his right hand man

The entire universe made up of the fundementals.. Standard magic drawn from teh body's stores((mp)) the bigger the spell the more the cost, except in the case of the studs which I believe take a small amount of mp and focus it more strongly than the body can naturally.
Now that is just standard spells. your big spells... summonings.. dead raising ((all sorts of magus mischeif)) would require a ceremony which indicates an outisde draw of power. with no circle((see small undead making ceremonies)) making undead is a perversion of the magic and the enviroment((the undead making not hte lack of circle)) ((theoretical real world effect inserted here)) making hte summoning location corrupted and infertile...
Most situations with a circle are meant to draw from the area and ley lines in balance so the right amount is drawn without causing undue harm to the surrounding area

I still think it was lavos....With the plan that stopping the tradgedy would stop her intrest in machines.... and perhaps he made the gate so that it bypasses time travelers immunity in the hopes that the change would be significant enough to change time and since the rest of the crew was not time traveling... even if it did not bypas tti they would have changed with the time line change.. and since nothing was significantly changed it did not happen. Although Proto seemed to have an idea of what was going on when she came out of the gate.
Perhaps also ((if it was)) lavos made the gate to force her to watch it again in an attempt to break her will. The entire endeavor would not have gone well without lucca... almost impossible if you count her brain power in to the figuring things out.
My 2 and a half cents
