said nothing bad about radical dreamers. what I said was that CC did not earn the chrono title. perhaps radical dreamers two or just left at radical dreamers being a remake/sequal. I absolutly love CC its one of my favorite games but the name doesnt work..
two reasons for the original games name
1. TIME TRAVEL=changing the chronology of the current universe
2. Title character and major plot point
reasons why CC was given the chrono title
1. To attract CT fans
2. to attract Ct fans
3. cause the called serge the chrono trigger which wa s reference only made in teh attempt to link the games together and The precedence set up in CT in no way makes room for serge to be called the chrono trigger. Arbiter would have worked.. but not trigger.

Lavos, the Planet, and other Entities / Re: A Planet Cannot Recover After a Lavoid Attack
« on: September 02, 2007, 10:50:49 am »
really missed out on thi sthread.... and dont have the time to read it all at once.. so please pardon me if somethings already been said
As far as the planet recovering. Your looking at several hundred million years to put the planet back int oa state ready to support life again another several hundred years of life for most of the life on teh planet to be able to reevolve back into its current state. and while half a billion years may not seem like much when your talking planetary scale. our own sun is expected to have a remaining life of several hundred million years.. at most 1 or two billion. The star that planet orbits is most likely the same... you really think it wants to spend a quarter of its remaining life turning itself back into what it was? and this isnt taking into account that the core would cool to far to be able to create an em field around the planet long before the sun went out. no em field no life. no sun no life.
Sure the planet could recover but who the hell would want to wait that long.. on top of that. whos to say that one of the baby lavoids would not remain behind and burrow down ready to do it all over again.?
I highly doubt the one atack ruined everything.. the one attack just set everything up for destruction. Killed power generation facilities maybe knocked out water pumps.. but it was the assualts after the initial bombardment that did it. the waves of monsters, lavoids, and lavos himself destroying civilization as they knew it. If had just been the one assault they could have rebuilt in a number of a few years. but this was not the case.

And remember, you're talking a time span of a few minutes for the world to go from pristine and green to 2300 A.D. style ruined.

well as far as the ayla thing goes I once again state that Kino is the one brought from 65,000,000 which means that even if he would have origninally screwed ayla to start the line.. he would have found someone else. and as far as time pardoxes go.. time moves forward no matter what you are correct however.. the way the gates tied the time periods together connects all those times. think about. time would not erase the guardia line from existance becuase of the removal of ayla or kino as long as they stayed alive because their presence would still be tied to their original time by some bond or another. and Fate(not the computer) can have some influence here..
and as the chrono dania thing.. the guardia line would have continued with or without time travel
possibilities include but not limited to.
1. Lucca introduces chrono to dania someday as lucca seems to be on a walk in basis in the castle.
2. Nadia marries someone else so that she would become queen ((eventualy))
3. Even without the time travel nadia and chrono still would have met in leene;s square during the millenial fair. and who knows where that would have gone without the telepod turning into a make shift gate entrance

you have to play radical dreamers.. the character in the intro Magil? that was magus. but that is a diferent point all together..
Remember that Gaspar and balthazar were both absent when the party reached zeal. and the animation in the game indicates that the three gurus were dragged off to their respective times before chrono and crew arrived to destroy the mammon machine
Chrono cross devietated from the spirit of the game slightly..
They went quantity over qualty on the characters there was not enough background or character development for 2/3ds of them and the other one third if they werent integral important points got minimal character development albiet more than the rest.
They tried to take radical dreamers and tie it into chrono trigger without tying it into chrono trigger at the same time they did a poor job..
Dont get me wrong I love chrono cross.. as a standalone game but it should have been kept as radical dreamers it really does not deserve the chrono name

I think that Janus probably sensed Crono's death and told Belthasar. After all, I believe that the Guru's and Schala and Magus had a close connection, like the Guru's watched over them as their mother was always too busy for them.
It's explain why Melchior would try to save Janus from falling into the time gate and why Belthasar would put the world at risk to try and save Schala.

Exactly. What if... she died? What if... she would stay behind (by accident) in The End of Time stuck for eternity? What if... everything. You see the problem now? You can't expect for Time Traveling to be as lighthearted as saying: Well, if I can't make it back to my own time, at least Time would assume I did and at some point restore me there as if nothing ever happened.
From the game I was under the distinct impression that gaspar could have sent them through a gate with or without a gate keyso ayla would not have been stuck. on top of that Doesnt the time travelers immunity protect her own time from suffereing from her dissapearence? would'nt time itself find a "replacement" to fill the void if the unthinkable happened?

Lavos, the Planet, and other Entities / Re: Lavos Question
« on: August 31, 2007, 10:34:00 am »
while he could survive an onslought from the humans of the era.. if they still existed in great numbers the spawn would not have survived hence the destructive rain. Now chrono cross made severall references to lavos being able to hate. That would indicate some form of sentience and in most video games and books and what not.. the ability to truly hate is reserved for evil. so...

Magic, Elements, and Technology / Re: Magic Article Begins
« on: August 28, 2007, 12:48:51 pm »
the elements in cross are considered dragon magic because of where they came from. but if you notice that in both 60 and 100 ad the mystics are capable of using magic... did all of them go visit spekio? no mystics seem to be born with the ability to use magic.
doesnt have to be replenished.. the energy isnt destroyed when used in a spell.. the spell happens and the energy disperses after whatever effect it was supposed to have for instance chrono uses lightning. the energy gathers the bolt goes off and the energy dissipates after its done its damage. even if the target absorbed some of it it would be released back into the "ether" eventually((I used the word ether as a possible place where the magic energy would originate from))

Okay then how about "loose energy" not "free energy". What I am think is that in the Chronoverse(I like that name) there is energy just floating around willy-nilly, But unlike "free energy" there is a finite amount that is manipulated and that manipulation is magic. The only hole I have is how the energy is replenished.

Magic, Elements, and Technology / Re: The relationship between Magus' magic & Time/Space
« on: August 28, 2007, 12:43:03 pm »
not really.. the cc game has 6 innate Colors((elements)) now that cant just be because of the draconic elements.. anywya the point made was that not the enitre chrono verse runs on the same setup. but as was also said in this thread magic does not have to make sense.

chrono time travel is confusing and anyway it goes just remmeber that it was kino they brought back from 65 mil so it is possible that ayla is not related to the guardia line in any way
