And Kyronea, you're a .hack fan? :D
...

Huh? Where'd you get that from?

And to answer your question: no. I'm not a big fan of MMOs in real life, let alone a televised version.

You said that you did a fandub of .hack//Roots.

That's a shame. Doesn't anyone here have good taste in anime?  :|

All this talk of redemption made me think about the motives of the CT characters and why they decide to save the world - it's amusing to consider that Lavos was only defeated because Marle is a bossy, impulsive brat and decided on a whim to save the world from Lavos and dragged Crono and Lucca along too.

Personally I think that Slash would do well with the same VA as Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist. That gad an excellent dub IMO.

And Kyronea, you're a .hack fan? :D

You amuse me. That's good, too, because after the large amount of horror in this book I'm reading just happened I needed amusement.

But, with that said, your logic fails. Even if Willy Wonka--who does not exist in this reality as anything more than a fictional character--were to perfect a minature chocolate manufacturing plant, why would the Wii have one installed? It would not aid the Wii's purpose at all. If anything, such a device would be much more suited to the PS3, which tries to cater itself as a home entertainment system rather than just a video game console, and thus a snack producing mechanism would be the perfect finish.
rofl, you win for not knowing a joke when you see one (i know you did, but you acted like it was a serous statement)

Oh, he realizes it's funny, as proven by him saying 'You amuse me'. But he acts like every thing's serious because... well, it's just what he does. Oh, bugger. That was a PERFECT opportunity to reference the Abridged series but I, fool as I am did not use it.

It was just a suggestion o.o
Aye, and if you hadn't suggested it, you wouldn't know it was not appropriate. I simply let you know it was unappropriate. Do not take it as a personal insult; simply come up with a suggestion that is appropriate under the conditions I laid out.

I'm not taking it as a personal insult at all, it's just... well, the wording seemed... oh, forget it.

Sorry, but the Hunt System of Final Fantasy XII will not be featured in any version of Chrono Trigger + so long as I am around. I despised most parts of Final Fantasy XII due to it being an overly unfun game, and I do not wish to integrate it.

Besides, all new sidequests we are creating are intended to work with the story just like the original ones do, with the fleshing out of character backgrounds and what have you.

It was just a suggestion o.o

Personally I didn't like the hunt system in FFXII at all,
and I don't think it would suit CT.

That's debatable.

Also, the End of Time is completely cut off and secluded from the outside world and all of its time periods. People don't know about its existence, and don't have the means to activate a warp portal to travel there and get the idea to post hunting jobs for local time travellers.

It's not meant to make sense. The billboard was an example. How about Gaspar just lists the marks and tells you to speak to the NPCs? Either way, it has no real impact on the quests themselves.

IMO, there are too many holes in this idea. I think it would be better to just follow the same/similar trend this game already has for its sidequests (i.e. talking to NPCs/Gaspar to find out about them).

-shrug-

I can hint that when we someday get all chapters, sidequests endings, NPCs done; then we'll dramatically enrich EVERY location to their limits. After that? New sidequests. (levels 70 to **)

On the topic of the side quests, I actually had a decent idea about something you could do with them. I'm not sure if you've played Final Fantasy XII, but it has a lot of side quests known as 'Hunts' which are basically what it says on the tin: you see a Wanted poster on a billboard requesting help slaying a monster, then you find the NPC who wants help and speak to them. You then go on a sort of minor side quest where you need to find the mark. Anyway, my point is that these side quests work really well in FFXII and I can't help but think that they'd be excellent for Chrono Trigger- somewhat like smaller, condensed versions of the side quests after you revive Crono (Magus Castle, the Sunken Desert etc) where the main objective is to slay a particularly hard monster.

There could be a billboard at the End of Time after you beat Lavos, with posters up from NPCs in various time periods, requesting help. The monsters could be anything ranging from beefed-up enemies from the main game to bosses making Cameo appearances from Cross. However, I'm not sure of the extent of Monster Editing in TF or even if you can make new ones, so I don't know if this is possible.

Anyway, that was just a suggestion. I've played the Millenial Fair section of Plus and I must say it's great. I love the way that you've expanded the Fair and the new script is much better than the old one, although I must say I'd rather a retranslated original, or even better, if you based all of your new dialog off the retranslation- and no, I didn't notice the change =D

Oh, and those sprites I was going to do... I can start on them now my exams are over. Is there any sort of priority to which ones you'd like first? Also, you only want the sprites, not animations or anything, right?

It was the whole goth thing.  It works.  Plus, given that she was very black mage-y, I thought it was a nice touch.  Rikku I found to be to loud and obnoxious.  She kinda reminded me of my little sister.  Very unsexy.

Oh, I dunno. I'm only considering visual appeal here btw ;D

In any case, I agree with Mr. Molecule's idea...such an article would be a wonderful way to celebrate. Plus it'll be neat information for those of us--like me--who boarded the train late.

Yeah, thirded. If that makes grammatical sense.

Hey, I wouldn't worry about stirring things up.  It gives us more to talk about.

Shame I can't blame it on Kyronea this time. =P

I honestly don't see the attraction in Lulu. Now Rikku, on the other hand... she's cute, sexy and she isn't even very scantily clad. Well, she is in X-2. But that game is an abomination and it completely ruined her. And Yuna, who's pretty in a different way, I guess.

Anyhow... I don't think scantily clad girls in games seems to repel female gamers- or at least it doesn't repel any female gamers I know, anyway.

Not to mention that a game made up of calendar girls would probably be pretty boring.

Well, yeah =/

Anyway, this is great. I don't actually have any VC games yet but I plan on getting some soon- and CT coming out would be amazing.

I'm not a big fan of Rockstar's games. I just hate censorship in all forms, especially when it is as inane as changing the name of a spell from Holy to Pearl, or--for a Chrono reference--changing the name of an element from Sky/Heaven to Lightning.

Hey, have you SEEN the early Fire Emblems? Thank god they weren't released round here- we'd probably get a load of nonsense about 'Pearls' and 'THUNDARSTROMZ LOALZ' if Nintendo got their grubby censorship mitts on them. Ahem.

By the way, what gave you the idea that it was 'en'?

The lyrics that I read had 'en' instead of 'in'.

Ha! I'm (partially) British and drink tea about once a year and despise coffee.

It was a joke at his expense that he walked into--and was hopefully amused by--and you just ruined it.

I don't really mind- I'm a patriot =D

Tally ho and all that. Let's go fox hunting, shall we?
