Just as a quick note, according to a little history lesson I heard Daniel give in another topic, Christianity (or rather, Judaism at the time) was quite a bit less bloodthirsty or violent than it'a neighbors.

Chrono Cross seems to indicate that Porre still views Guardia as a threat in some form or another. After all, when Porre is said to be seeking the flame to use against the other strong countries of the world, I don't really see that many options. Medina is more peaceful than anything, Choras...maybe, but it seemed more like a colony of Guardia than anything.

It's quite simple, really. See, Crono is the physical manifestation of the Frozen Flame's thirst for independance. Upon the destruction of Lavos, he has officially proven that his will is stronger, and oblierates Lavos's consciousness. Now, in possession of Lavos's temporal powers, he simply resets the vortex, sending everyone home.

There's no real hard evidence to support anything, I'm afraid. But again I call the question of whether Guardia actually fell in the sense that they are no longer a power. There's evidence in the game to support the idea that Guardia "merely" suffered a massacre, and was able to rebound. Had the the royalty been killed, it is unlikely that they would be able to restore themselves to a level where they were even mentioned in the short 15(?) or so years that they were given.
So my assumption is either:
A. King Guardia was killed, but Crono and Marle lived.
B. King Guardia and Crono were killed, but Marle lived
C. Crono was killed (again), but King Guardia and Marle lived.
D. All of the above were killed, but they had a son => Unlikely, as even if Marle had been near the end of her pregnancy during the events of CT (which she couldn't have been, since she would need to be pregnant in the first place) the child would only have been able to be 5 (If I remember, the "fall" was 1005? Or was it 1007? If it was the latter than the child would be 7), which doesn't leave good odds for the kingdom.

But we applied our own logic because we knew that was the only way to rectify everything that happened. This is completely different. This isn't anything to tie together events we've seen. This is just a theory which I believe relies on a shaky off-screen assumption. We could just as easily assume that Porre did a systematic slaughter of everyone who was related to Marle.

Then answer this: Why on earth do we have any reason whatsoeverto believe that they had siblings? We don't even hear them referenced. Nor do we have any logical reason to assume that they are necessary.
