I actually made it VERY clear in one of the threads here, that the FoE project was in no way, shape, or form, affiliated or endorsed by the Chrono Compendium, Kajar Laboratories, or the Crimson Echoes team.

I did not leak anything. In all honesty, the FoE project was as open source as it could possibly get. We started with the early alpha build that got leaked onto the net soon after the C&D. From then on, we started posting updates to the progress, and let other people have their hands on the game to do as they will.

Again, I had NOTHING to do with the leak of either the early alpha OR the 98% completed version now. The only thing I am/was associated with, is the early development of Flames of Eternity.

Been a LONG time since I've posted here... But, I started the Flames of Eternity project, I got a team together, then dropped from it back in May of 2010 because someone was trying to take everything over and change the game in a VERY dynamic aspect. The last thing I touched, was on the newly leaked Crimson Echoes. There was an infinite looping bug if you failed the "Frog Catching Challenge". But eh, I'm not too big on the coding thing anymore. I do a few bug fixes here and there when I'm needed, but I mostly stay out of the scene.

Back in 2009, soon after the C&D, I do recall talking to JP. (where I got a copy of his tech editor from :P) and he said not to put too much effort into my project, because Crimson Echoes wasn't dead just yet. Seems he was correct. It was either him, or our (the FoE team's) "rival" who leaked it. The rival, was doing a CE restore project, coding ONLY what was seen in the 98% beta on the CEmemorial, so as to stay true to the Crimson Echoes story.

So, if you (rival) completed this. I commend you. A great job well done. You just should have fixed that frog catching loop so I didn't have to :P

As the topic insists... YOUR BANNED!

Tis' a forum game in which you state that the person who posted before you is banned for any reason at all.

Have fun and let your inner internet child-like imagination roam.

I long for the day it gets a glorious remake.

Eh, I wouldn't want a remake of this gem seeing that a lot of Squeenix's remakes end up being an overkill. And why fix something that's not broken anyways?

I've been delving back into my nerdy Final Fantasy obsession and finally decided to start playing FFIX about 2 weeks ago. No offense to all of them "OMFGFFVIIFANBOIS" But in my opinion, FFIX blows FFVII out of the water. It has an awesome storyline, each character ties into the main plot some way or another, The amount of plot twists are just of epic proportions, and I've just gotten about 2 hours into disc 3. So for those of you who haven't touched a FF game since you either played FFVIII or X/X-2 because of the vast amounts of fail they emit, don't be afraid to get back into the Turn-Based fighting spirit and give IX a try. You won't regret it.

If Robo is the same series as the rest of the robots in the game marked as the R-series, then how come he's not the same color? Also, what about Atropos?

I'm thinking that maybe he's just brown because of a slight layer of rust, since, after all, he was found broken down in an abandoned dome. Any suggestions/ideas?

Well, I wish you all the best of luck. Any venture is a good one at this point...up to the point where you get the Compendium involved, in which case, I trust you know when to stop.

I will make it clear now, the Compendium is in no way affiliated with the FoE project. FoE is a completely different group of people, and has no affiliation with the original CE members either.

It's kinda sad how it seems that our projects seem to be going against each other as some sort of nonsensical competition. Yeah, Giro was working on the text dump for a while, but it's mainly because I had been without a computer for a while. We're making changes to the game such as the playable Schala because it would make a little more sense since Ayla is supposedly pregnant with her second child. Anywho, FoE is going to be {almost} the same as CE besides for a few minor changes. And yeah, I got onto Giro about the massive use of the word "Ye" :/ And still, even though progress may be slow, it is still progress.

Also, while I'm here, The reason for the name change is to help avoid SE trying to pull anything against the Compendium by saying that they had something to do with it. And no, the FoE team isn't a bunch of trolls, It's a select few die-hard Chrono fans who really want to see this get out there.

Meh, I saw Kando post in this thread last and figured he would have some lowly thing to say about the FoE team. I'm too lazy to go back in the thread to actually see where our project came into this but anyways. The FoE project is making great progress by self-learning everything. Hell, i've even picked up on spriting from just messing with things. Anyways, i'll be in touch.

I believe Arkanoid is older than 16-bit...I think it was one of the original Atari arcade machines even. Or else around that same era. Good enough game to while away some time with.

It was originally an arcade game that was later ported to the Atari, then during the SNES era was ported to the Super Famicom as Arkanoid: Doh is Again, named after the boss you face multiple times. Now Arkanoid got ported to the DS but completely ruined the classic feel to it.

Lately Ive been experimenting with Ragnarok Online (J but E patched) And I must say, It's a really decent RPG. It gives you the feel of an MMO with the fighting system and the Graphics are quit complimentary to each other even though the game has 2D sprites but 3D maps.

;;heh;; Just today I remember one of the most awesome SNES games I had ever played called Arkanoid. It's like the Brick Breaker game commonly found on Cell phones but a lot better. I decided to venture back into my space traveling brick shattering past and play this title on my DS (not the DS port of Arkanoid, the SNES version) And It really brings back memories of playing CT, the DKC games, and even Link to the Past.

Lo and behold, I went out to my garage today and found a box with my Super Famicom and all of my original SNES carts XD.  but anyways, I strongly recommend that ANYONE try these games, they are really addictive.

Well, this Flames of Eternity project sounds neat, though I hope that it doesn't cause the CE creators to come under fire, and that these guys are willing to stay in the kitchen despite any heat Square might send their way over this.

One thing I am pissed about... they stole my movie title! For anyone familiar with the Box Office Mojo forum game "Create A Year Of Movies", Flames of Eternity was the name of the third film in my blockbuster fantasy film trilogy. And those bastards apparently stole it! GRRRRRR

Actually we got the name from the game itself, the Frozen Flame gave us the idea of Flames, and  the fact that the Frozen Flame allowed the passage into any time we got Eternity. Not because of the song, or band (never clicked the Youtube link) or your movie idea.

yea zeality knows about it, and i blatently state it has nothing to do w/ the CC or the CE team, although they did put over 4 years of blood sweat and tears into it....

but i didnt even want to publicly say on any forum i was working on anything....so forget you ever heard that!  8)

and flames of eternity is not my project, im not associated with that in any way.

He's right, and thats why I said "Kando has been working on a similar project"

Yet you post your progress in the IRC? You make no sense really....

I just looked up this "Flames of Eternity" I noticed in the banner...

Have you guys spoken with the Crimson Echoes dev team about the project?

As long as the CC is not said to have helped create and/or finish the game, Z has no problem with it. Kando has been working on a similar project himself. Im surprised you didnt know that.
