That's the actual font from Chaos Ring II? Ugh.

I seems really out of place. Anyways, it sucks that the Chaos Ring games are only app store products and are not available for real consoles or handhelds. Then again, this prank would've been less convincing using doctored screenshots of a more widely available game.

Outside of the fancy feline part, there's also the fact that official sources never used the term "The Entity" like the screenshot did and the font of the words and the obvious fact that we'd get Japanese-language screenshots first.

I'm picky about the details, and I logged on for the first time in a long while just to say this.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Dream Devourer's techs...
« on: December 06, 2011, 11:31:56 pm »
I don't know if this has been answered already, but I've noticed that DD knows Ice Lance. Does this tech(and the others) have the same names in Japanese names as the Chrono Cross Elements (On a similar note, are CT's and CC's Redpin and Blackhole one the same name-wise in Japan?)

General Discussion / Re: Video Game Discussion Thread

Hello, temporarily back from a long hiatus.

I just came on to give a much-deserved videogame shout-out. In the recently posted picture of the RD cartidge, something caught my eye. To the immediate right of the BSX catridges are Dicing Knight Saga and Judgement Silversword. These are among the most rare of games for Bandai's Wonderswan, a Japan-only Handheld System. During Square's fallout with Nintendo, they made all their handheld games for the Wonderswan Color, the second illteration of the system. The original monochrome WS was created by the same man that invented the Gameboy. It was released after his death. Many series saw their start there. The Gunpey puzzle series had 3 games. The series itself is prothumusely named after the system's creator himself. The orignal version of Rivera: the Promised Land was also on here
Well, anyway these games are unique. They were made using a development tool called the Wonderwitch. They were the winners of a contest that made them officially published titles. They were among the last games for the WS's third and final model, the SwanCrystal. As such very few copies were made.

The WS finally fell in 2003 via the combination of the GBA's release and Square making ammends with Nintendo. At their peak, they held 8% of the Japanese handheld market, a feat not surpassed by a non-Nintendo handheld system until the PSP.

RIP Wonderswan 1999-2003

Best Japan only system ever.

I think that the DS version is the best version.

Not only is it's Translation superior to the SNES/PSOne Versions, but it also has extra content to help tie it closer to Chrono Cross. And it has all the extras added to the PSOne version without the slowdown.

Not to mention, It's on a handheld, so one can take it virtually everywhere with them. I'm the type of person that's on the go alot, so having a game from my favorite series on a handheld is quite convenient.

Hello, Dunsparce here. None of you probably remember me, but I remember all of you. It's been a VERY long time since I've posted here, but I'm back for a very specific reason.

I've been goofing around with Gameshark Codes for Chrono Cross, And I'd like to use a few codes that I can't find:

-Have all Elements x99 (INCLUDING the Lv. 7 Techs and Steena's Lv. 5 Tech)

-Fight against Family Tree

-Have all Doppelgang Monsters

7
Bah, no one probably remembers me, but I need help right now.

I need an All Accesories AR codes that actually works. The last one I got glutched up my accessories pocket D:

I've already beaten the game many times over without using cheats, but this time I want to use them for fun.

Chrono Trigger: Golem Twins/Sisters
Chrono Cross: Miguel
Chrono Trigger DS: Nu Guardian (Master was easier to me)

9
Once again, Radical Dreamers is Ignored :<

It doesn't matter if it's no longer part of the main continuity, it's still a Chrono game through and through.

I would vote for all 3 games if it was an option.

Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / Re: Endings Problem
« on: December 05, 2008, 10:00:16 am »
No, I got the developer's Ending (I've played through the PSOne version 30+ times, I know how to get all the endings), It didn't register the ending I got in the extras after saving.

I'm not new to the game, nor to this forum (I've been a member since September 2004, I just don't post much). I figure now that it was a glitch. I got it to work now.

Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / Endings Problem
« on: December 04, 2008, 11:23:31 am »
I've recently started a Newgame+ and Beat Lavos at the fair and even saved, but the ending was not registered at all. What's up with that?

Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / Re: Best Party?

I always end up using Crono(For Luminare), Robo(For healing), and Ayla(For sheer power).

Though using Frog + Marle for Double Cure is always nice.

I go 3rd-Party/Independent all the time.

The Republican and Democratic parties have too much sway over everything. We need more 3rd Party/Independent people in the government. Half the time all the two major parties do is fight with one another.

General Discussion / Re: What are you currently playing?
« on: October 31, 2008, 06:12:04 pm »
I'm currently cycling through these three games constantly:

Persona 3: FES (PS2)
Dawn of Mana (PS2)
Sword of Mana (GBA)

All are quite fun in their own right

I only like the first six FF's anyways...

One thing I don't want to see is the Chrono Series becomign the next FF. The fact that there are key storyline elements that connect the three Chrono games together is a good thing.

btw, even though Radical Dreamers was replaced in the main continuity by CC, it still is a Chrono Game, which is why I said three, not two.
