Drop me a note when something cool happens around here again. I guess I just miss the good old days...

The trailer is fantastic, but am I the only one who was sensing some sexual tension between Gandalf and Galadriel?  Because if so...what and why.

Actually judging by the trailer alone I feel like the movie should be named "Gandalf" instead of "The Hobbit," cause the trailer is pretty much focused on Gandalf...

watching a Miyazaki film
I used to feel ashamed to say that I feel My Neighbor Totoro is my favorite. :?

Nausicaa's my favorite but Totoro is a really close second. In fact, no, they're completely tied. Totoro gets all the cute points and Nausicaa gets all of the coolcreepyweirdawesomelore points.

End of summer. Problems with my mom. Schedule nonsense shenanigans. Not being 21. Feeling like an idiot all the time. Not being in the Springtime of Youth at the moment, due to said problems. Ugh...

Trigger:
For music: Spekkio's Theme, because the cheerful-upbeat God of War was too amusing!
Level: Any of Magus' castles
Overall plot/music/everything: Getting Magus in the party and beating the shit out of Queen Zeal while his theme plays in the background.

Cross:
Music: ALL OF THE MUSIC.
Level: I really like Isle of the Damned of some reason.
Overall plot/music/everything: I haven't beaten it yet...I'm on the last stage though and pretty much know what happens afterward. I think my favorite part so far is resurrecting Marbule, though.

The most noticeable? Lucca almost always is affected with Chaos whenever a move is used that has the ability to do so. (like 9 out of 10 times)

Oh God, so much. Good thing she misses pretty much all the time during Chaos...

...hmm, but yeah, I never even thought about it, and thought I was getting unlucky. But it's true, she gets Chaos'd much more often than anyone else in my experience...

After a very brief discussion with Square Enix, the game may end up being cancelled. I'll keep you all posted.

Why...why would you ever actively seek out the guillotine like that...

Then perhaps I may need to revisit the paradox of falling down the "Fan-art Cliff", where once you're recognized as an artist you'll only gain that recognition via fanarts itself, and not your original works.

Hmm, well I guess it's a good thing I like doing fanart then. ^^' Although I'm going to hopefully get a job drawing what my bosses tell me to, for THEIR game.

On the other hand, just like us, the people at OCRemix are getting older and getting their own problems. I'm not saying it excuses what they're doing, because I don't think they should be asking for money for something like this; however, I don't think they are just being completely selfish. Remember, even if we think they are being pretentious pricks, I'm sure they all feel that they have good reason for doing this. And who knows what's going on for them? Maybe this'll make sure someone can pay rent for the next month.

As far as I can tell they're not charging to download remixes, so it's not hurting anyone if other people feel it's worthwhile to spend money on them. It's not a waste of money from the perspectives of the people who donated.

And you should be going to http://remix.thasauce.net/ these days anyway. :3

To be honest, the only reason I don't go to OCR any more is because I don't have the patience to sit and listen to songs to see if I like them anymore. I check back in every once in a while, and got a few nice recent remixes as well.

I guess I just don't see how it's "the worst fucking thing." ^^' Maybe I just don't understand the importance of this situation because I'm young and immature? OwO

Steam Powered Giraffe

Anywho, if that sounds interesting, personally I'd recommend "Honeybee," "Brass Goggles," or "Captain Albert Alexander"

I like 'em. Thanks for pointing them out.

Whew. Here's some of the stuff I've been doing for summer practice, among other things.

Actual Practice:
I had green hair. It's faded to golden-blonde now, though. (self portrait in colored pencil and ink)
Color combo practice. I invented mushroom zombies as a kid. They are the best kind.
Rune cave, my personal favorite. Quick sketch turned into a six-hour endeavor.

Fun Stuff:
Did I mention I am a big fan of Lolita fashion?
Planned costume for Steamcon; The theme is monsters, and I'm going to wear it with my crow mask.
The Stump outside my house. I PS'd them for coolness, but they were pretty damn cool to start with.

Of equal concern is what this job market is doing to the arts.  If people pursue arts degrees at all, they will not be bringing the fruits of that education back to America.  They will move to a country that values their skills.

A big dream of mine is to work for Natsume or Capcom on Harvest Moon or Monster Hunter...but if I get hired and paid by an American game company there's really no reason for me to leave especially since Red lives here and is going to try to work for Valve or Bethesda or Wizards of the Coast. Would be cool to do card art for Wizards but I think I'd need to learn to paint in gouaauoauoauoache first...or any paint besides digital paint. :/ Blaaah, paint. (expensive)

The Reindeer Games comment killed me.  Completely killed me.  Then I was brought back to life only to be killed again by the Legolas one.
I don't think anyone could hear the line after that because everyone was laughing so much.
