I voted getting crushed by falling Zeal or falling red star.  Having one of those things "drop by" during a picnic sounds quite unpleasant.

...Get it?  "DROP" by?  OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOH!

I meant something more powerful like kinda a weaker version of robo's shock but stronger than lightning two. And most of these are suppose to be more powerful techs that take a long time to get, thus making you want to replay it with new game+ that way new players can have a reason to play through it again other than one dungeon.
But the game is easy enough as it is...  Why get overpowered attacks?  9999 damage can already be achieved, so why bother?

Imagine this is just the beginning of a new age!
So, imagine it's 1995 again?

As dandy as that is, it shows literally nothing new.

But with all these young wippersnappers with DS's, they might not know about Chrono Trigger, and even worse, call it a DBZ Ripoff *GASP*.
My nephew walked in on me playing CT once and asked me why I was playing a DBZ wannabe game.  I damn near smacked him in his foul mouth.

Revival of the series.  Don't get me wrong, the new features peak my interest too, but this is potentially foreshadowing for a new Chrono game, and that makes me soil my pants.  In a good way.

Well we know Lucca and Magus hung out together at SOME point...  it's a plausible scenario...

...right?

I'm down to help.  I have a bit of pixel art experience so I could try my hand at mapping, and I'm extremely anal about grammar, so text editing I'd be good for.  I'm also interested in maybe writing script scenarios and wording character dialogue.

That's interesting. Ayla did use her fists, and even the sword wielders had to get close to it. Even though Lavos is defeated there are a lot of people that still came into contact with it that would have received the radiation effects. Is that why even after Lavos is supposedly destroyed nothing really changes in the main timeline except that there is no longer Lavos? If you have a source giving off radiation that causes mutations and you remove the source, the mutation caused by the radiation is still there. A very interesting idea.
Having thought about it a bit, I'm starting to lean towards 2 ideas: -that Lavos might have intentionally introduced the Frozen Flame into the world (though I'm unsure if there's any evidence that really nulls that theory) or -that the Frozen Flame could maybe be a kind of physical residue from the Mammon Machine.  It did absorb Lavos' energy, and being a machine, it could have had some sort of exhaust.  It looks more and more like the FF and Lavos' shell aren't the same, people touch the FF, crazy shit happens; people touch Lavos, nothing noticable happens.  People stick knives into the Mammon Machine, crazy shit happens; people stick swords into Lavos, nothing noticable happens.  So the FF might be a physical manifestation of Lavos' "radiation" or energy (probably the same that the Mammon Machine sucked up).

The one day I visit the site again in so long only to return and find a Chrono Trigger remake for DS. Incredible.

However, no real changes so I have heard (checking gamespot). It is a disappointment, but then again, I hear a lot of gamers are getting a DS just for this game. I was hoping for something more jucier like a next gen platform release with graphical enhancements, but leave it to Square-Enix to leave us hanging...

Still hoping for a CC remake now too... But this will put CT as a 2nd remake, correct?
The PSX version wasn't a remake, it was a port.  We're still unsure if this is going to be a remake (new graphics, etc).  I'm hoping it will be, might as well have something new to play through, if I wanted to play the exact same thing that was released 13 and 8 years ago, I'd play it on my SNES or PSX.  Here's hoping everything gets a facelift, graphics, music, voice-overs maybe?  In addition to the bits of new content, that is.

If they add a new PC that's not really what any of us are doing, one of us is bound to sprite it and throw it in Xd
PC = party character?  As cool as that sounds, I think it would change things way too much, especially since Chrono Cross exists already.  I doubt they'd add *new* things to the storyline, but I can see them explaining things that weren't explained before.  I'm thinking the extra dungeon might be part of an ending, maybe being an addition to or perhaps even replacing the developer's ending.  That's another thing to consider, will the developer's ending be altered by the team?  Would be fun to see new silly content in there.

As long as CTDS comes out in a convenient little cartridge, that's all I need... Now if they make CTDS panties that's another thing XD
Wow, that got me all excited.

In the pants.

They're going to have to get really creative to outdo the fanbase as far as extra content is concerned.
Outdo the fanbase?  BLASPHEMY!!
Two-player jetbike races would be beyond awesome.  I doubt they'd program full online play just for a minigame though, so I'm expecting something a bit more... ambitious, I guess.

Wireless play mode?  What?  Can't wait to see what all this is about...  Sounds awesome one way or another!
