Chrono Cross Modification / Pip Element Grid Glitch FIX!

Element Grid Glitch
Pip's character has a glitch where even if he evolves to Holy Beast or an Arch form, he loses the last two slots in his Element Grid if the Playstation console is turned off. This can be counteracted in two ways. Firstly, one can simply never turn off the Playstation. This can burn the disc, however. Secondly, one can keep two save files; one with a normal game and evolved Pip, and one with a Pip almost ready to evolve. When you boot up, load up the unevolved Pip game first, evolve him, and then load up the real game. Pip's new Element Grid will carry over. This can be done with different evolved forms to make a larger than normal Element Grid (Archangel has the largest).

Remi Negest made a patch that fixes a Pip Element Grid Glitch. The problem was due to an error saving and loading the game. Now everything is all right!

I built a new image with the debug room. They are great for testing animations, quickly move to any room and any battles. For access you have to press SELECT on the title screen (where Press START Button)

Chrono Cross Modification / Hidden dialogues in CC

The game has a lot of dialogues that you cannot see without a hack. (For example, if you get Mojo before go to the Cape Howl, you can see the dialogue Mojo with Poshul.) I'm looking for such dialogues, and edit fieldscripts so that dialogues can be seen in the game. For example in this scene I added Leena as  entity, that would have the opportunity to take Poshul Mojo and Leena at once. If you are aware of any such dialogues, please tell me about it.

This version includes the deleted from the official release debug room. Since the original script of the room was only in Japanese, the script had to be rewritten from scratch, using the remnants of debug code from other rooms. Also in the room added other capabilities: view the endings of the game, listening to game music, video, add any item or element. (idea borrowed from the ps version of Chrono Trigger, where such functions were in the system file). As well as in Chrono trigger, these options are available only after beating the game. To control for the passage, to the NPC in time warp added a custom dialog that tells the percent of the game. When the percentage is equal to 100, the NPC will offer to be in the debug room.

Me and Danetta currently developing a big modification for Chrono Cross. This mod will affect almost every aspect of the original game.
The list inludes, but not limited to:
  • Heavy improvements of enemies' battle logic. Every aspect of battle system should be worth to use.
  • Rebalancing old items and adding new ones.
  • Rebalancing elements and their status effects.
  • Bug fixes.
  • Single disk - it's still discussed, but there is a lot of pros, read more there:
  • "Wait" Indicator for Battle:
  • Some of the characters will be able to re-join the Lynx after transform, some characters will be able to join earlier.
  • New optional battles.
