I've played CT since about the time it was released on the SNES, but I have never seen all the endings. This is mostly since I feel I must complete every task possible, and then finish the game. Also, I am bothered by not having the major protagonist present. But the other day I was playing on my emulator and had just finished the Blackbird when I decided that I should defeat Magus (something else I never do because I normally want all the characters). After slaying him I decided that since I am using an emulator I should just save another state and go for it (this is on New Game+ btw). So I use Marle Lucca and Ayla to defeat lavos without getting Crono back. I am really disappointed in myself for never doing this before because this is by far the most beautiful ending the game has to offer. I actually had a sick feeling in my stomach when I saw Robo Frog and Ayla just give up on Crono and leave. I was actually furious (keep in mind I had never seen this ending ever and forgot what happens in it from manuscript).
Seeing this reminded me that there are still about 7 endings I haven't seen (and those of which I have seen Crono and Magus were both alive for). So I was just wondering who out there has seen all endings with all the variations possible (excluding Lara, cats, etc)

Sunday I came back home from teh University on spring break. Since my best friends all went to South Carolina I had absolutely nothing to do. When I got home I noticed that my brother brought my old CC back from our dad's house. I started playing monday or tuesday night I guess. I can only really play after 10 pm so I have been on a rough sleeping schedual. I started on a brand new game and stayed up until about 4-6 am all week trying to finish it in time before I go back to school. I'm going back to my room sunday night but will only be able to pull another all nighter one more time before then. I"m playing right now (4am 
) and I am not tired at all. I think this is either a problem or this game is just too damn magnetic to get away from.
I'm finishing up some loose ends before I go to Terra Tower, I can get a lot done tonight but I know I should stop. Tomorrow will be a day (or night, or early morning) or glory as I can finally step away from the game that I haven't played or beaten since I first got it 6 years ago.
THis is just too good a game, its sad, I can't believe its 6 years old. I could have sworn that y2k almost happened like 8 months ago....

Nothing too elaborate, just a simple question.
Why did Glenn hold onto the damn thing for 10 years and then all of a sudden decide to leave it in a bar for some stupid kid to pick up and he hailed as a hero? Ten years seems like such a long time for this to happen....

The other day I was watching T.V. and saw an ad for the 10th Anniversary DVD set of "Toy Story." At first I said "oh shit I can't believe its ten years old." Now with CT and its 10th anniversary I am wondering why the game didn't have better look, and pushed the SNES to its greatest possible limit. I'm not saying Squaresoft should have done to CT what PIXAR did with toy story, but it could have been closer. I do appreciate how great the game looks which is remarkable, but I just wonder if they could have done better with the hardware then? Thoughts?

Lavos, the Planet, and other Entities / 1999 AD Gate and CC as a prequel...

Now its been a while since I played CC and I can't remember where it picked up (1010AD?) but if you fight Lavos at 1999 AD as he is erupting, wouldn't the world already be destroyed by his eruption, still bringing all that death and destrution to earth? So what future gets saved by Crono and co. if that still happens? Or is it Lavos' suckign the planet dry that actually kills it?
Another thing. Does CC assume that you fought lavos at 1999AD? What if you kill it in Zeal through the Black Omen of 12000 BC? Wouldn't that eliminate Serge's travels to fight TD since Shala has nothing to fuse with?
