So, Square-enix released a new trailer for E3, the music used in the trailer is a remix of Frogs theme. Seems some people are getting hyped for some Chrono Trigger news.

Chrono Trigger Modification / Chrono Trigger Rebith - Back in action.

I have decided to work on this project again. Just keep me going this time, beat me with a wet noodle if you like.
Check out the area in the inactive section to find two new topics, one containing all the work i did in the beta .3 some of the changes will not be in beta .4 and on.

Chrono Trigger Rebirth / Chrono Trigger: Rebirth beta 0.4 - Change Log!

Been putting off hacking.. so back I go again.
Change log for 4/1/2008
----------------------------
- Decided to ditch custom music for obvious reasons. This also gives me more room to work with.
- Exported 47 flux files from the hacked rom and imported them into the new rom.
- Before that I added the Title Screen hack. Which I need Justin to change for me.. Just put 20?? this time. lol
- Also added the FF4 Advance Font pack by a guy i know.
- Imported all 47 flux files to new rom. Hack works but not fully playable to chapter 2 where it just abrubly ends.
- No Color text changes except for certain things.
- Checking to see if there are bugs with the importing, none found so far though.

Chrono Trigger Rebirth / A nice surprise for all your friends here.

Sorry for the lack of updates, life has really taken it's toll on me.
Anyway I am releasing a patch of Beta .3 that have so far, I've been meaning to work on this for sometime, but other things have been keeping me busy.
In The mean time - I'm planning on redoing the rom without any special music as there is no way to add more music to the rom without any problems. (I've tried multiple things and nothing worked)
Anyway Here's what's in the Patch
- Custom Music (Not going to be in it anymore)
- The Prelude and Chapter 1 are done, Chapter 2 is in the works at the time of this patch, and you the game will stop after a certain point.
- The 1000 A.D. Cathedral is open (It should be closed but it's not for beta testing reasons.)
- A mini quest is in chapter 1, hope you can find it.
- Just consider this a teaser patch.
The Patch is from September 2008, There are some bugs in this patch. I fixed one before i made an IPS patch due to a music test. So Enjoy.
THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE.
Also, Please put anything that are typos and other bugs I might not know about.
I know about the color text thing in the intro.

I'm starting a very very long fan fiction of Chrono Trigger. Ranging from the currently release of The quest of Akira Cole, to Chrono Trigger, Radical Dreamers (a different story), Chrono Cross and beyond.
The first story is a 20 chapter story that takes place 10 years before Chrono Trigger. It's about what happens to Crono's father. (We never got anything about it in game!) The Chrono Trigger part of the fanfiction will be beased on Chrono Trigger Rebith.
The Chapter numbering system.
The chapters for each story will have it's own chapters, but will have a global chapter as well.
For instance Chapter 1 of The Quest of Akira Cole will be called Chapter 1. But the Global Chapter will be Chrono Trigger Chapter -34.
Now you may wonder.. Why is it chapter -34 and not 1? Well, the story happens before Chrono Trigger and thus will have a negative number. Anything that happens Pre-Chrono Trigger will have a Negative number and will count down.

Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / The day of Lavos Video in 2300 A.D

I just go to this point.. (thanks to work and other stuff getting in his way.) I noticed the video is different, at one part in the video at the beginning. it freezes for a second or two, and does the same at the end. like a computer glitch.. this didn't happen in the SNES version. But it makes it look better.

Someone on Gamefaq's already picked up the game at a local gaming store, and he opened it up, and there is a Poster that comes with the game.

Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / 1st day sales of Chrono Trigger DS in japan

Chrono Trigger hit #1 on it's first day selling 176,000 copies just in the first day alone, beating out #2 and #3 Animal Crossing Wii.. #2 without wii speak, and #3 With wii speak, which total to be about 1000 less than Chrono Trigger, and #4 was the Unreal 3 engine Square Game, The last Remnant. selling 79,000 copies.

Well, it's not going to affect this hack at all. Infact it has given me some new ideas to add to my hack.
I'll be using the DS version's translation for the text, but modified to fit Crono's talking.
Going to see about expanding the ending a bit more to add the new ending in a way that it'll set up the next game combined with the new ending..
more stuff to add later.

well, I was gonna listen to music while mowing the grass today, but.. my video card had other plans and died a horrible death. 
so no working on CT:R or playing games until I can get a new video card.. which most of the lower costing stuff is actually better than my old video card before it died.

I thought of an Idea, "Why don't I make each PC speak in a different color, like Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma."
So I checked with an old topic and found the post Justin made 11 months ago, But there was only 6 colors I could use, as Black doesn't look good. So i did some tinkering and made a color change to a lighter hue.
